Mike Haseloff is a culture vulture. Ruggedly handsome & writes some stuff. Secretly involved in @InfiniteWars @MK_Online etc. Pay him to be brilliant.

Still a sneaky favourite.
THIR13EN GHOSTS turns 25 today. It gave every ghost its own backstory and custom creature design, but most of that lore never made it into the film. The DVD’s “Ghost Files” feature later revealed the histories of all 12 spirits.

Always encouraging when the undeniable pursuit of excellence leads to bankruptcy. Ugh.
There's a commentary track that said something like "The Reason the show looked good was because Japan refused to cut corners on literally anything. They would air brush the frost on Mr. Freeze's helmet EVERY single frame. They went bankrupt right after"

We live in a society.
CURB YOUR ENTHUSIASM turned minor social etiquette into full-blown catastrophes. Larry David could make a dinner invitation or any conversation feel like a matter of life & death. Nobody makes everyday pettiness this entertaining.

Zimmer acquired his giant Moog modular system from Tangerine Dream’s Chris Franke, who sold it to him when he wanted to move on to newer equipment. Decades later, Zimmer was still using analog synthesizers to create the deep, physical sounds heard in films like THE DARK KNIGHT trilogy. For him, these machines were never just instruments. They were tools for discovering sounds he couldn’t have imagined in advance.
