Buckner vs Nelson is going to be absolute cinema
As far an arms race goes, the 49ers can make it a literal one with Seattle by trading for a D-lineman who'll actually face Quenton Nelson in the trenches on Nov. 29.
Imagine DeForest Buckner and Quenton Nelson going from being teammates in Indianapolis to clashing with the best teams in football at Levi's a month later

The 49ers have now made two major moves to bolster their DT room, adding Osa Odighizuwa from the Cowboys this offseason and DeForest Buckner from the Colts today.
Trade: Colts are sending three-time Pro-Bowl DT DeForest Buckner back to the 49ers, the team that made him a 2016 first-round pick before dealing him to Indianapolis in 2020, per me and @rapsheet. Now Buckner returns to San Francisco, fortifying the 49ers defensive line.
Some of you that spent the entire morning bitching on this app need to go outside and touch grass. #49ers

Kyle Shanahan says Mike Evans, Nick Bosa, Demarcus Robinson, Marques Sigle, Luke Gifford, Issac Guerendo all have a CHANCE to return after the bye week.
But nobody is guaranteed. The deciding factor? How they look when they return to work next week.
👀 Reinforcements could be coming for the #Niners.

Going from Connor Colby to Quenton Nelson would be a hell of an upgrade at left guard
The 49ers wouldn’t struggle as much against stout defenses like the Seahawks and they’d protect their investment (Brock Purdy) at the same time
Imagine having Trent Williams and Quenton Nelson on the same line 👀

The bye week couldn’t have come at a better time for the 49ers. Look at the key players that are currently recovering from injuries:
Mike Evans (Achilles)
Christian McCaffrey (thigh) from yesterday
Deebo Samuel (hamstring)
Demarcus Robinson (ankle)
Nick Bosa (calf)
Upton Stout (shoulder)
Marques Sigle (ankle)

Ignore the mouth breathers that don’t know ball. While their team is getting smacked every week, they’re praying on our downfall.
