Over the past week, Aurora Robotics and @AiMOGA_Robotics (backed by Chery Group @CheryAutoCo ) have been engaged in strategic discussions exploring initiatives to advance artificial intelligence and robotics in Nigeria and across Africa.
The focus is on identifying practical applications for emerging robotic technologies, particularly humanoid and quadruped robots, across industries such as education, security, customer service, industrial operations, research and smart infrastructure. The objective is to move beyond observing global technological progress and begin developing the partnerships, talent and deployment capabilities required to make these technologies relevant within the African context.
AiMOGA Robotics is Chery Group’s embodied-intelligence robotics company, developing advanced humanoid and quadruped platforms designed to operate in real-world environments. Its parent company, Chery Group, is China’s leading automobile exporter, shipping more than 1.34 million vehicles overseas in 2025. With over 2.8 million vehicles sold globally that year, Chery ranked among the world’s largest automotive groups and 233rd on the Fortune Global 500.
