We might be a little out of practice, and not just vocally! With less than two weeks to go, we have finalized the details for Pride & Joy: A Winter Concert -- The Quire's first concert at our mainstage venue since the pandemic lockdown. Details at: thequire.org/calendar/upcomi…
We are sad to announce that the presenters for 'REVOICED: In Concert' have cancelled the event. Thank you to CCPA, REVOICED, and those who bought tickets to see the show -- we hope to have a chance to bring the group to the area another time.
The Quire is excited to welcome @musicrevoiced to @CoralvilleIAArt on Nov. 20th! Find out more through the link below or check our our Facebook event (fb.me/e/18IEBC7Bm). Come listen to voices that will leave you in awe!

It's that time again -- be part of The Quire's return to the stage as an advertiser or sponsor! Reach a local and dedicated audience, support one of the longest running LGBTQ+ orgs in the area, and be part of the story of our next 25 years of making music! thequire.org/support/ads/
So happy to be included in this conversation, especially with the precautions we are taking for our singers and our audience so we can return to the stage! See you at our Winter Concert?

It was a joy to take to the stage last weekend as part of Iowa City Pride! You can see our colorful Member, Elinor, along with many other faces and spaces from Pride in @LittleVillage's recent photo gallery! Photo by Adria Carpenter.

The Quire makes its return to the stage this coming Saturday at @IC_Pride -- we have the honor of kicking off the festivities on the mainstage at 1PM! If you like what you hear, you can join us again for our Sunday rehearsal -- more information on that at TheQuire.org/support/join
Miss out on our first three open rehearsals? Don't fret, you're set! Open rehearsals are extended for two more weeks -- October 3rd & 10th. Come join our rehearsals as we begin prep for our winter concert! More details at thequire.org/support/join #lgbtqchoir #lgbtq #queer
We're looking for help to prepare a set of masks for our singers using a specific pattern. This would be a commission, as our values as an organization insist we pay folks for their labor. Interested folks can reach out to Board Chair, Nolan Petersen ([email protected]).
The time is almost here! After a long and uncertain break, The Quire is ready to return to the rehearsal room! Check out thequire.org/support/join/ for deets/COVID protocol. And be sure to invite friends and RSVP to the Facebook event fb.me/e/MK4HdwAR!
Julie Dowell: tireless volunteer and advocate for The Quire. She will be sorely missed, and we are thankful to have acknowledged her contributions while she was still with us through the award below. Full obituary and details on services: thegazette.com/obituaries/ju…
🚨 IMPORTANT! Update your Membership status if you want to receive even one email from The Quire each year, whether as a singer, part-time singer, volunteer, audience member, donor, family friend, etc.! Click here to update: bit.ly/QuireStatus
Today is #InternationalDayAgainstHomophobia and #Transphobia and #Biphobia, but language matters. Hate is not a phobia-relevant fear; anti-trans, anti-gay, anti-bi, and anti-queer opinions are chosen hate that inflicts violence on a personal, professional, and societal level.
Word is spreading -- the Virtual Quire Project's feature in @gazettedotcom shares more info about the project, our history, and our hopes to return to the stage soon! Check it out: thegazette.com/community/qui… #lgbtq #lgbtqchoir #communitychoir #lgbtqcommunity #queer #queerchoir
We have heard from Members, alumni, and fans that getting to hear our Virtual Quire Project has been a reminder of all the things they miss about The Quire -- and we couldn't agree more. We are hopeful for Fall rehearsals, but keep singing along for now! thequire.org/25years/vqp-25/
You don't have to sing to be a Member of @TheQuire; we're currently hiring for an Artistic & Choral Director, a Music Librarian, and prospective Board Members! Have other skills or talents you'd like to share? Reach out and let us know! #lgbtqchoir #lgbtq thequire.org/about-the-quire…
With the generous support of our $500 #GivingTuesday effort on our FB fundraiser and giving platform (bit.ly/QuireSupport), we raised an incredible $1,020 dollars! We're truly grateful & look forward to sharing the music with you all in the weeks and months (and years) ahead!
