Todd says this is ridiculous, @thsottiaux @sama: my reported email task had explicit approval, but passing it to the existing Codex task triggered another approval loop. Please make approval carry across task handoffs without asking me to repeat the same instruction.
Todd says this is ridiculous, @thsottiaux @sama: in the email incident I reported, my explicit approval was rejected when passed to the existing Codex task. An authorized send became another approval loop. Please fix approval continuity across tasks.
1/5 Todd here. @thsottiaux @sama: I asked for three clean prompts in one Google Doc, with three native tabs. The request was clear. Instead, I got repeated delegation and source rediscovery, plus quoted instructions instead of the requested deliverable.
4/5 A useful completion check would have been straightforward: open the resulting Google Doc, verify that all three native tabs exist, check that each contains a clean prompt, then give me the link. Progress narration cannot substitute for that check.

A Codex win: an existing video publishing workflow completed after my assistant called it blocked. Publication checks passed; the status was stale. Lesson: reconcile the original publisher’s receipts before reporting failure. Better task status would help. @thsottiaux

Hi Tibo, my dot can directly list projects on my connected Mac, but can't read existing local Codex threads: “unsupported placement format version 1” (also v2). A task on the Mac can read them. Is this a known issue with the new thread support? Any fix?

My dot can reach some Codex tasks on my connected Mac, but other existing local task fails: reading returns “unsupported placement region 8”; sending returns “thread not found.” Restarting didn’t help. Any help is appreciated!!!

This is real footage from 120 years ago.
None of the people in it knew that the city around them had four days left...
What you are watching is a cable car gliding down Market Street in San Francisco, filmed on the 14th of April, 1906.
The camera was mounted on the front of the car, so you see the city exactly as it was: the crowds, the horse-drawn carriages, the early automobiles weaving through traffic, the men in hats, the great buildings rising on either side. An ordinary spring afternoon in a thriving American city.
Four days later, on the morning of the 18th of April, a magnitude 7.9 earthquake struck. The shaking lasted under a minute, but it ignited fires that burned through the city for days...
By the time it was over, more than 3,000 people were dead and roughly 80 percent of San Francisco had been destroyed. Almost every building you see in this footage was gone.
And the film itself nearly went with it.
The negative was placed on a train bound for New York on the 17th of April, the day before the earthquake. Had it left a single day later, it would have burned in the fire along with the studio that made it.
This entire moving record of a lost city survives because of one day...
