Just a thought:
What if Williams broke out the FW07C tribute livery again before the end of this season in tribute to Jonesy?
Maybe in Vegas where he took his final win for the team?
Just found out that Alan Jones has passed away, and can't help but feel a pang of sadness
In many ways the definitive Williams driver. It was a desire to recapture Jones' style which led Sir Frank to sign the likes of Keke Rosberg, Nigel Mansell, and even J.P Montoya.
Even beyond the France 1980 clip (which Jones himself rated as one of his most satisfying drives to beat the Ligier's on home soil), he just had so many standout moments

He was, by his own admission, lucky to win the title in '76, but he still performed very well to close the gap Lauda had created in the early races when the Ferrari was the clear best car, all while seeing off challenges from the likes of the Tyrrells, Regazzoni and Watson
