Part of my process putting together guillotine league rest-of-season rankings on @RotoWire is analyzing our Strength of Schedule tool, which rates matchups on a 0-100 scale. Rankings are adjusted for quality of opponent & weighted over the past 18 weeks🧵 rotowire.com/football/schedu…

Wake me up when gas is affordable again, healthcare doesn’t bankrupt me, and I’m not living check to check. Otherwise it’s all noise and broken promises from both sides as usual.

The comedy stylings of Don Muraco and Mr Fuji. One of the best segments of WWF TV ever.

Man, this brings back so many memories. 1997 Nitros ruled. The nwo, licensing Hendrix, Rodman, this all felt so “different than” any other period of WCW. When we had all decided the red and yellow was pretty lame, Hogan pulled this off. This was the first time in my lifetime it felt “cool” to be a wrestling fan.
WCW Monday Nitro was a great time.

They had an option to cut this out of the broadcast and decided not to. They made the right call. Gorilla Monsoon and Bobby Heenan in a laughing fit while getting thrown all over the boat.

"Hot Stuff" Eddie Gilbert has arrived to the CCW, now renamed CWF. Solie shows us footage of Gilbert fireballing Jerry Lawler in Memphis to give us an idea of the type of man Eddie is. In reality, Gilbert was the new booker for the David Woods led promotion. 4/30/88

He is sorely missed.
RIP and respect for Tracy Smothers who passed away on this day in Pro Wrestling HIstory October 28th, 2020 at the age of 58. He started in Memphis and Florida in the early 1980s, trained by Steve Keirn and Stan Lane, and was known as “The Wild-Eyed Southern Boy.” He teamed with Steve Armstrong as the Southern Boys / Young Pistols in WCW, where they had a highly regarded feud with the Midnight Express and held the WCW United States Tag Team Championship. His biggest singles success came in Jim Cornette’s Smoky Mountain Wrestling (1992–95), where he was a two-time SMW Heavyweight Champion, a multi-time TV champion, and a popular top babyface. He also worked as Freddie Joe Floyd (a rib on the Brisco brothers’ real names) as enhancement talent in the WWF, and later as a member of the comedy Full Blooded Italians in ECW, where he won the ECW World Tag Team titles with Little Guido.

Jack Curtis is selected to announce all of the changes coming out of the transformation of the CCW to CWF. Unfortunately, they give Jack a lot of bullet points, but very little detail about a lot of his announcements. This segment winds up feeling all over the place

Before Heenan was told "just announce, your job isnt to come up with ideas" and he just got drunk every week instead. Up until 96 he was really good in WCW.

Being a college fantasy football sicko means you bring out the small TV so that you can keep an eye on the World Series while watching Delaware & Western Kentucky football. Why the f* won’t they throw it to Jonathan Stafford?!?! He’s just doing cardio out here!

I love Jerry Lawler's RIDICULOUS heel bullshit story at SummerSlam '93 The fact that Bobby immediately jumps in to corroborate at every turn makes it even better.
