I really enjoyed the Forever beta, and looking forward to it being the version of WoW i stick with. BUT... how long could it last when you've already got 20 years of mounts collected in Retail, seen the stories, played other classes and races. Hard to imagine, but i hope it lasts

Am i crazy for going PvP on all my characters? I just had so many great memories, even though it sucked haha.

Someone literally took my name before the server let me in. Saria Songwood. So, i made Saria Songwind. Close enough.

Can't connect to the server to create a character. Feels JUST like 2004, ahh the nostalgia. #WoWForever

I think i'm going PvP in WoW Forever. A lot of memories from vanilla WoW were PvP, even getting ganked! Farming then running into Horde, having a friend come out, messing around. Sure it's time taken away from questing, but... it's WoW FOREVER. We should have time for PvP.

Having a backlog of video games is one thing. Having to look back at the receipts and see how much money it all cost is another... Geesh. I'm gonna play every game out of sheer guilt.

You get early access to three names in WoW Forever, and I think i've picked mine out. I'm not sure anyone would be taking them, so I wonder if i should just grab a super popular name as fast as I can just to make the most of it lol.

I have to jump in on this PC vs. Console thing. PC is BY FAR the greatest platform. The only tinkering I've done in the past decade is to try and get even better graphics, but I don't have to do that. Otherwise, you open Steam, start the game and play. (cont)

Lastly, I have a Steam library that goes back to 2004. 20+ years of games all in one spot. No console does that. Nintendo doesn't even have Twilight Princess available on any current hardware, for instance.

With the right hardware, and yes it's expensive. you get the best graphics, highest frame rates, and it's not even close.

I haven't had to mess around and trouble shoot a PC game since like... 2010. Those arguments are super outdated.

You can use any controller, keyboard or mouse you like and there are TONS. PC has the most options by far. Play how you like. Most games even update the buttons in-game to match your preferred controller.

Modern games auto detect your hardware. Sometimes I have to set the resolution first time i open the game. That's it

You can update the drivers, which auto download and you hit a single button. No harder than updating the console. Steam games auto update.

WoW Forever claims it will stick to horizontal progression. So, other than gear upgrades, what would keep you interested? I’m genuinely curious how they’ll keep people playing without constantly chasing new gear. Let’s make a thread of suggestions. @Warcraft - story lines

Funny, but I competely ripped on Silksong at release. I HATED that game, the stupid little weapon, the crappy bouncing things, everything. Over a year later, and it's a game i keep thinking about. Started it a few times, got to the end of Act 2. Thinking of giving it another go.
