Replying to @SanfordResearch
@SanfordResearch is hiring! We have two assistant scientist/professor PI positions open, one in the field of rare disease and another in pediatric oncology. Please RT!
I have been working there for 5 years and I cannot recommend this place more. It is an amazing institution to do some rigorous, cutting-edge science.
Highly collaborative, super efficient environment, and excellent research tools. We have multiple cores for cutting edge microscopy, single-cell RNA-seq, spatial transcriptomics, BioID, histology, animal behavior... Grant money goes a long-way here, as a lot of these have very low fees or are just simply free. A lot of newly-minted PIs have gotten R35 or R01 funding rapidly.
Also my wife and I have come to love Sioux Falls to raise our family. Sioux Falls is growing super rapidly, the schools are great, and it is affordable.
I am leaving the link here.

Happy too see this peer reviewed! A project stemming from work with @stephenfloor and @TheSilverLab, we focus on mRNAs who seem upregulated while translation is down or unchanged. If you're into RBPs, mRNA stability, the almighty GC content and much more, this one's for you!
Monitoring mRNA dynamics after DDX3X depletion indicates translation suppression followed by mRNA stabilization, with GC content in the CDS being a strong predictor of mRNA stabilization ➡️ embopress.org/doi/full/10.10… @translatomics @CalvielloLab @humantechnopole #RNAbiology

“I want the world to know that the Holocaust—it was real.”
Steven Fenves was deported to Auschwitz-Birkenau at age 13. What happened to him and millions of others during the Holocaust is not a myth or fiction—it is the undeniable truth.

Imagine being a Jewish man or woman living outside of Israel, especially in the Western world (US, UK, Canada), and seeing hundreds of thousands of people — of various ethnicities and around the world — cheering the slaughter of your people in the Jewish homeland. Imagine trying to figure out where the safest place would be for you and your family.
Now, multiply that by 1,000 and you may get a small glimpse of what our Jewish brothers and sisters are experiencing right now.
