Promising data from TBCRC-053 (P-RAD) by @guptalabunc @AliceHoMD: short-course pre-op RT + pembro appeared to enhance tumor immune infiltration and early nodal response in node-positive TNBC.
Notably, RT converted 71% of “low TCI” tumors into “high TCI,” with early high TCI associated with higher ypN0 (94%) and pCR (85%) rates. Interesting strategy leveraging RT as an immune primer. #ASCO26 #bcsm @OncoAlert @UNC_Lineberger

At #SABCS25, @guptalabunc presented the P-RAD trial showing that in node+ HR+/HER2- breast cancer, pre‑op radiation with pembrolizumab + chemo boosted immune activity, which may improve the body's response to eradicate cancer 🩺 @SABCSSanAntonio
@TheTBCRC P-RAD study shows that pre-op radiation can stimulate a local and nodal immune response in HR+/HER2- breast cancer treated with immune checkpoint inhibitors.
