I’ve learnt a lot about how people move in this space lately. Eye opening would be an understatement. Some of you really need to get over yourselves. The sun doesn’t shine out your ass, your opinions aren’t gospel, and your inflated sense of self importance doesn’t make you right. The hypocrisy is almost impressive. Everyone loves preaching community, loyalty and support until it requires them to give something without benefiting from it. I’ve spent far too much time genuinely showing up for people who wouldn’t think twice about looking the other way when the roles are reversed. And I’m starting to realise sincerity is a lot rarer than people would have you believe. Maybe it’s time I stopped taking people at face value and started paying attention to how they actually move. Because apparently, there’s a game being played. The difference is, I never needed to play dirty to have something to offer. I just made the mistake of assuming everyone else had the same integrity. Consider that mistake corrected.

The Big Green Weenie is classic US military slang (esp. Army/Marines) for getting thoroughly screwed by the system or chain of command. BOHICA = Bend Over, Here It Comes Again. That's the mythical beast.
