When I retired, I said I will always be willing to give back what I’ve been given. I believe that sport has a transformational role in society and I’m proud to say that I’ve joined @LaureusSport as an Ambassador.
Through Laureus and the @alcantarafound, I’ll do whatever I can to change the lives of young people through sport.
Smiles on faces was all I saw at my first visit to Futbol Mas, a Laureus World Sports Awards Madrid legacy project, yesterday. What a day!
Join me, follow Laureus Sport and let’s make a positive impact around the world.

Honoured to join Glovo's 10th anniversary last week at Teatre Coliseum.
On stage with Oscar Pierre, we talked about what high performance really means — in football, in life and even in the workplace.
Turns out, athletes and Glovo teams have more in common than you'd think: discipline, resilience, drive.
I've been lucky to play under some of the best coaches in the world, and some of the most dedicated players and professionals out there — and I saw that same dedication here.
Thanks Oscar and Glovo for having me!
Back in Munich, a city that will always be part of our story. Gratefull for a weekend full of memories #UCLFinal2025
