On this day, 1761, nearly 100K Marathas died on the battlefield of Panipat, giving it all for Dev, Desh and Dharma. Commanded by the valiant Sadashivrao Bhau, they shattered enemy formations, fighting ferociously with grit and valor against overwhelming odds.

The Indian Government saw Capital Markets as a place to collect revenue rather than as a place to create Wealth.
Most of the IAS folks who work in the Finance Ministry do not even understand ABC of Capital markets. We have seen their world class Governance when they managed Naala Naalis of Indian towns and cities.
Even if STT and LTCG are halved, our stock market will be one of the best-performing markets in the world. Done a few months earlier, it would have avoided extremely costly FCNR deposits from NRIs. @nsitharaman
Dear FM @nsitharaman, if LTCG & STT are removed, the stock market will soar, FIIs will return, rupee will strengthen & the value of 80 listed PSUs will rise. Please do it.

When retail investors were screaming that LTCG is wrong, big investors and legends were quiet.
Now that they can't take the losses anymore, they have started criticizing LTCG. GOI may listen to them too.
Truth is: no one cares or will care about the small investor.
Doubtful historicity, with no contemporary evidence. @grok

Richly deserved, what say Bhau @Thinkerks ??

Ghazni’s invasions of Northwest India coincide with the Roma-Gypsy migration out of India, per Romani scholar Ian Hancock.

@grok was Alexander’s conquest of the Persian Empire the facilitating factor for their migration to Europe?
Is India their original birthplace of Rom people, and why are they called as such?

वसुधैव कुटुम्बकम् is an old saying, although by a cunning character for the purpose of deceit, in an old book.
Theirs not to make reply,
Theirs not to reason why,
Theirs but to do and die!

Wealth destruction on Indian stock markets like never before. Faith in the ‘India story’ shouldn’t harm Indian investors. @nsitharaman
Depends on what and where you eat. My two favourite items: vanela ganthiya, methi bhajiya. Deep-fried and sinful, but okay once in a while.
What I personally don’t like- Ghughra, Dabeli, bread katka, sweet kachori.
