Sorry that you had such a life. I’ll be praying for you.

You were either born out of an adulterous affair, your father abandoned your mother, or you grew up in a household where you felt neglected as a stepchild. Because there’s absolutely no reason for you to be this pressed and invested in other people’s family affairs.

I know the truth is bitter when insults fly. Those with ears will hear and do better.
So now asking about a father's responsibilities makes someone stupid? And what on earth does Friday have to do with anything?
Don't drag the calendar into your intellectual shortcomings, sisi.
I’m really trying to figure out what “anger” are you talking about? You spent an entire essay condemning speculation, then casually suggested the older children's mothers might be petty obstacles.
All those paragraphs and you’ve STILL managed to misrepresent my argument. Nandi’s success and professional connections were never disputed. Her contributions don’t cancel Zakes’ independent obligations to his older children.
You’re not correcting my argument. You're rewriting it into something easier for you to attack.

I’m not conflating two separate issues. Everything is connected. You’re the one who seems determined to isolate contextual factors like life happens in a vacuum to justify your “anger”. Which seems to stem from the fact that you are certain the opportunities Nandi’s kids have access to are solely because of their father and I vehemently disagree with that. You have no way of knowing that for sure and that is the point. In your effort to be angry for his older kids, you are choosing to erase the reality that the moms also also play a big role in determining what their kids can do. Nandi was literally a child presenter on Bling, so it’s not far fetched to say that she could be behind this. Even if she just suggested it and outsourced the work of facilitating it to her husband. This isn’t a slight on the older kids. It just is what it is. You don’t even know that they weren’t offered the same opportunities and their mothers weren’t the obstacles in the way out of pettiness and again, that’s the point. It’s a lot of rage for a situation you don’t know anything about, but you assumed a position and decided to run with it, and that is weird to me.
Juli, let me simplify this because you’re still conflating two separate issues. 😒
FIRST, nobody said Nandi was responsible for Zakes’ older children. Their FATHER is.
SECOND, Novus Arte publicly thanked Zakes for the introduction connected to Shaka’s exhibition. So your suggestion that the opportunity ‘might have very little to do with him’ is false.
THIRD, whether Nandi arranged the art programmes is irrelevant to my question about Zakes’ responsibilities to his OTHER children.
And FINALLY, you now admit he might have been a terrible parent. So why are you arguing against a discussion examining his paternal responsibilities in the first place?
Replying to @ThinknSip
What are you even talking about? 😂 I never said they were, but I am trying to point you to the very glaring fact that Zakes might actually just be a terrible parent and the fact that Nandi’s kids have access to art programs could have very little to do with him.
The question wasn't whether his older children can paint like Shaka. It was whether their own ambitions receive comparable support. Reading comprehension, my dear.
Replying to @ThinknSip
Since you seem to know a lot about Madida household. What are other kids talents that aren't taken care of like Shaka is?
A man's children aren't divided into premium and economy classes according to which woman he married. Ngiyacela, let's apply some critical thinking here.
This right here is exactly why I couldn't be with a partner that already has children because I know what kind of life I'm trying to create for my kids and it will never not be a problem for the older ones. Like it's not my fault it never occurred to your father to sign you up for swimming lessons or cultural activities.
Hawu sisi, the only thing you're excluded from here is the actual point.
Marrying into greater privilege doesn't mean his older children should become an afterthought. A father's responsibilities shouldn't depend on which mother has the more impressive résumé.
Nobody said connections automatically produce talent or achievement. The discussion is about whether children have comparable opportunities to develop their potential.
Replying to @ThinknSip @PhilMphela
That's narrow mind thinking that because you've got connections means you'll automatically get opportunities even if you don't deserve.Kaizer Motaung Jr would have played in Europe top leagues if connections automally enable you opportunities...
Kanti, Öfentse, since when does asking a public question require a private consultation?
The question is about Zakes and ALL his children. Instead of addressing the substance, you're policing who gets to ask. Hayi suka, bhuti.
I asked whether all of Zakes’ children receive equal consideration, and sisi summoned Satan into the replies. Kanti are we discussing fatherhood or conducting an exorcism?
Sisi, nawe usikhathazile ngezimpendulo ezingaphenduli lutho. You brought the confusion, argued with it, and exhausted yourself. Congratulations.
Lalela, Mandy. First it was “ALWAYS,” now it’s “USUALLY.” You’ve quietly revised your argument while accusing me of having comprehension problems.
Nobody disputed the potential benefits of a two-parent household. The question is whether a father actively extends comparable support to children outside that household. Stay with the argument, sisi. 🧾
