It is a political ideology wherein preserving distinct groups in the same space is the goal, no assimilation into the inherited national culture required, or even expected. Multiculturalism asserts that every culture bumping into each other within one society must be equally accommodated without regard for the cultural history of that society. Cultures clash. People sin. While enriching cultural exchange can happen while sin remains, culture is not morally neutral. If multiple populations, multiple ethnicities, multiple cultures, dwelling together, conflict fundamentally about who God is, marriage, sexuality, blasphemy, liberty, male and female, law, punishment, family, education, and government, mere proximity will not resolve the problem. It is the present reality of the redeemed people of God within the borders of their respective nations, normatively (Acts 17:26). One day the nations of the earth will be free from sin and dwell alongside one another without war (Isa. 2:4). For now? Preach the Gospel. Send them all back.
