recently I was given a cluster of letters my grandmother (who has been dead for many years) wrote to me as a small child. the contents of them are utterly mundane, but serve as a unique window into who she was and how she thought about me.
always worth remembering that Airbnb once had to fire thousands of call centre workers in the philippines because they were colluding with superhosts to remove negative feedback on a scale that was incomprehensible
an appalling take. there are many people who have been cursed with the most appalling internal conflicts so that we can be blessed with their art - the product of that pain.
worth remembering that even accounting for sleeping 8 hours/day (which very few people actually do) there are 112 hours in any given week. so for anyone "tight on time" your problem is not that you don't have enough, but simply that you are terrible at allocating it.

worth going down the rabbit hole on any of them. an abundance of lessons.
nothing possesses the power to momentarily transport you back in time in the way music does.
opening riff of come as you are or chester benningtons voice and I am 13 again. ziggy stardust or rubber soul and I'm a kid in my dads car.
black ops, halo, and little league sports. thats what I feel. its crazy to me how you can look at a series of images and feel such a crushing wave of nostalgia. feel yourself in these moments. SWAT! SLAYER! can hear these songs and play the life movie in your head. little snippets of days where you didnt think of the future. the 5 senses uncaged. this is why music is awesome, because it so effortlessly anchors moments in time. nothing else quite like it.
