Texas Hispanic voters are turning out in force so far this election, and everyone is watching to see what that means. All signs (continue to) point to a backlash against Trump and the GOP that's helping put TX in play this year. wsj.com/politics/elections/t… w/ @sabrod123

I actually have important contributions to this discourse. As @jeneps mentioned, my first job in Washington was actually as a Cheesecake Factory server and bartender. One day in 2009 or 2010 I wandered in for my shift a bit early...
I need @ByronTau to weigh in, as editor emeritus of @Politico44 and server emeritus at CF Chevy Chase

This award is so well deserved. Harry Kane is not only a wonderful player, but a top bloke, proper professional and a true leader. What a journey he’s been on, and it still feels like there’s much more to come.
HARRY KANE IS THE NEW BALLON D'OR! #ballondor

EXCLUSIVE - Top RFK Jr. ally and adviser Calley Means has quit the Trump administration. Means was frustrated by White House delays of some of Kennedy’s popular food policies and blamed others in the administration for allowing food companies and special interests to have too much sway, people familiar with the matter said. One of them described him as “disillusioned.” wsj.com/politics/policy/call…

Thiel on the Iran war: "I think we should not have done it"
NEWS: I obtained a recording of Peter Thiel's latest Nashville Antichrist lectures. In his third talk delivered on Oct. 12, he breaks with the Trump admin on the U.S. war with Iran. “I think we should not have done it,” he said. “There were a lot of mistakes that were made.” politico.com/news/2026/10/21…

The Administration should not waive sanctions passed by Congress to punish Russia for its brutal war of choice in Ukraine. I agree with the President that ending this war is in the US’s national interest, but we should exercise American power to pressure Russia to stop fighting, rather than buy their oil and hold our Ukrainian allies back from using their full combat potential.
