JHS athletics brings Calvin University’s highly successful Volleyball Coach, Dr. Amber Warners, to JHS to speak to our athletes, coaches, & parents. A powerful message focusing on relationships, culture, service, high expectations, trust, & mental preparation! #JPSBERELENTLESS

Dr. Amber Warners sharing the importance of mentality training in athletics. The six characteristics of successful athletes, identified in the picture, can all be improved upon with mental toughness. In my opinion, this is the difference maker in high school athletics.

Andrew Medley epitomizes this year’s district theme, Be Relentless! A special young man who is giving his all in the classroom, on the football field & BB court. His mental toughness, can do attitude, & positivity in dealing with a significant health issue is inspirational.
"I don't like to have people to look at me and say 'we need to take special treatment for him' or anything like that... I just want to be treated like everybody else." ~ Jenison senior Andrew Medley said.
