To me this is like the end of a common route. 5 eggs, 5 crystals, the weird route becomes irreversible, etc.
It's goofy, but there's obvious melancholy and a sense of transience. The heroes don't feel like heroes, no one is really on the same page, and the victory is hollow.

I get why everyone takes Aqua to be a Kratience hint, but I sort of think people have cause and effect confused. Aqua isn't very "Patience"-like. The game even jokes about this.
I don't think Kris is like Aqua (and thus "Patience"). I think it's *Aqua* that's *like Kris*.

A much more violent DOGCHECK than I anticipated though, and also seemingly targeted at the Eggrooms, which make sense considering they're meant to evoke the unused rooms you have to break dogcheck to access.
