“From the clinch, everybody is waiting for my wrestling and they forget about their face. That’s why the game plan was to show the wrestling, make them focus on the wrestling, and in that moment you throw the elbow.
I had like 1,000 sparrings where I was throwing the elbow. I was practicing it all training camp.
I wasn’t nervous that I couldn’t take him down because I had different plans. That’s why I was calm.”
