To be highly intelligent is to be selected as one of the few human beings capable of solving actually hard problems. This makes you basically a shepard of humanity, the masses your retarded dependent children. To abdicate this duty and become a “just enjoy life” maxxing free-rider is an affront to God. The core “squeeze” of growing up is “when are you actually gonna do it” getting compressed onto you
In early 20’s you have luxury of “yeah this will be so great & i’ll be so amazing”. But you don’t ACTUALLY have to do anything, because you’ve alloted yourself x amount of “space” for future “one day” action
Then you get older, and reality is compressed into a very simple “now or never”
“If not now, when?”
Eventually u can no longer escape into the safe/comfortable fantasies of the mind.
Action becomes the only remedy.
