When I wrote this about Andrew Neil earlier this year, the Very Sensible Grown-Ups of British journalism were outraged. Given his recent behaviour, the column is worth sharing again. theguardian.com/commentisfre…

Fancy that. No10 has, out of the blue, just given long standing eurosceptic Tory MP John Hayes a knighthood. Two unrelated facts: he didn't sign a no confidence letter, and hasn't yet said he'll vote down the Brexit deal.

I’d like to dedicate this #BlackFriday2018 to all the species that have gone extinct and all the future generations whose lives will be blighted by #ClimateBreakdown so that consumers can have the latest piece of plastic crap

Not one of them 'queue-jumpers'.

Here's email from October 24, 2015. Arron Banks soliciting Brexit donations from US (which would be illegal). And here too looping Steve Bannon into email about 3 "presentations" on Nov 17 & 18 - when @observerUK previously revealed key meeting with Russian ambassador took place

The BBC today gave far more coverage to French protests for cheaper fuel than to the massive and remarkable #ExtinctionRebellion protests in our own country. This is not an accident. This is an editorial decision. And it is shameful.

This is why Arron Banks calls me crazy, loony, criminal, a thief. Why Andrew Neil backs him up. He is desperate to shift attention from this story. And the BBC has failen for it. Please don't do the same. Journalism is not enough. Britain needs a Mueller. dialmformueller.com

To be clear, I am not seeking apology from Andrew Neil. I want BBC 1) To assess Neil's r'ships to Spectator, Leave campaign, Arron Banks & Adam Smith Institute & how his views impact his work for @bbcpolitics, esp regarding the criminality during referendum that we have uncovered

I’m in Dublin being deeply unhelpful, then travelling to Belfast & Derry to be more unhelpful, then addressing rally for people’s vote at your party conference in Birmingham. One thing I repeatedly make clear: THERE WILL BE A PEOPLE’S VOTE - & Parliament will decide this, not you
Replying to @sajidjavid
Finally, one thing I had to repeatedly make clear: THERE WILL BE NO SECOND REFERENDUM. Deeply unhelpful of some UK figures to travel around raising this prospect while so many working hard to land a deal.
