I said I wasn’t going to weigh in on who should be prime minister of Israel as that is a decision for Israeli citizens. I did, however, want to share one point of view from the perspective of someone who has an understanding of how Israel is perceived in America.
Itamar Ben-Gvir and Bezalel Smotrich have caused Israel enormous reputational damage with their statements and actions which are presented in the global media as representing the voice and will of all Israelis.
As such, a government formed without Ben-Gvir and Smotrich will send a message to the rest of the world that Israel is turning a new page.
This will allow Israel to rebuild lost credibility, increase the opportunity for an expansion of the Abraham Accords, and enjoy a better relationship with Democrats and Republicans and Americans at large.

1. ממשלת ישראל מוכנה לוותר על החטופים מסיבות פוליטיות.
2. ממשלת ישראל שולחת חיילים אל מותם מסיבות פוליטיות.
3. החלופה לכישלון האסטרטגי ולכישלון בהשגת מטרות המלחמה איננה כניעה לחמאס (עוד טענה עלובה ומסיתה של מכונת הרעל) אלא היערכות אסטרטגית למאבק של שנים ארוכות, מלחמת חורמה אמיתית, לא כמו זו של ראה"מ הנוכחי שהבטיח לחסל את חמאס עוד ב 2009 אבל בפועל הנהיג מדיניות של "חמאס הוא נכס", הזרים מיליארדים לאירגון הטרור הנאלח הזה וסירב לחסל את מפקדיו כשניתנו לו ההזדמנויות לעשות זאת.
4. ההמונים שיצאו לרחובות השבוע ושימשיכו למחות כנגד ממשלה המוזילה חיי אדם, הם פטריוטים אמיתיים. הם אלה שאולי יצליחו להציל את החטופים וגם למנוע את מותם המיותר של עשרות רבות של חיילי צה"ל. וגם ישמרו את חוסנה המוסרי של המדינה הדואבת שלנו.
ממשלת החורבן והאסון הגדול בתולדות המדינה הופכת בימים אלה רשמית לממשלה המוכנה להקריב את אזרחיה וחייליה למען מטרות פוליטיות.
ולכל המקללים כאן למטה: לא יעזור לכם. יותר ויותר אנשי ימין מכירים בעובדה שאתם מתרפסים לרגליו של מנהיג ציני, פחדן, כושל, שיעשה כל דבר, אבל כל דבר, כדי לבסס את שרידותו בשלטון. גם במחיר של חיי אדם, אזרחי המדינה. ואתם, בקללות שלכם ובחנופה האינסופית, מסייעים בידיו, כלי שרת בידי אדונכם, בדיוק כמו השרות והשרים שלו, המתרפסים לרגליו ללא בושה מאז ה 7.10.
