Indeed - in 2013 Farage enthused "I know many fantastic Bulgarians", naming Slavi Binev as one of these. As well as being a pro-Russian far-right politician, Binev was linked to a criminal group that ran several entertainment venues in Sofia (+ prostitution & drugs).

2. Presidente do TSE mesmo ciente disso se abstém de tomar uma decisão. “Perfeito, nenhum problema, hoje é domingo né?”
3. Campanha do Flávio pede extensão de horário apenas nos locais que o beneficiaria. “Legal, é o justo mesmo, só choveu nessas cidades eu acho.”
4. Lula pede extensão da votação no país inteiro ao STF, INCLUSIVE nos locais onde perdeu de lavada pro adversário, por causa da falta de ônibus e porque o presidente do TSE não respondeu. “Ah naao, aí não pode. Ai é golpe!”
É com esse tipo de desonestidade que o brasileiro tem que lidar.

Folks, Brazil is the perfect example of what I’ve said about this platform and Community Notes since Elon launched it.
Tonight and all day tomorrow, your feed will fill with thousands of posts claiming the Brazil election was stolen because Lula’s buddy on the Supreme Court extended voting by 2 hours.
That claim, we already know, is absolute bullshit.
Both campaigns asked for the extension, Flávio Bolsonaro’s included, after bus shortages and bad weather hit voters in several cities.

Almost every one of those posts will run note-free. The few that get a Community Note will get it after the damage is done.
MAGA propaganda spreads like wildfire here for one reason: Elon Musk designed it that way. Community Notes has always been a red herring.
Give it a few hours. Musk will repost one of his favorite stooges with a one-word “Concerning,” and that lie will land in front of his 241 million followers.
And Community Notes will never catch up.
So when I call Elon Musk Trump’s Joseph Goebbels, I mean every word.

The govt (Lucy Powell) is talking about Holocaust Education in schools. I've written four books for children/young people on this and made a video with photos, maps and documents. I'll be interested to see if the official Holocaust Education bodies carry on ignoring these.

The @BBC is withdrawing educational material on climate change and migration following accusations of political bias.
CLIMATE CHANGE IS NOT A POLITICAL OPINION.
It's established science.
MIGRATION IS A FACT OF HUMAN HISTORY.
Its economic, social and cultural contributions are documented, as are the challenges it can create. Immigration policy is open to debate, but children deserve to understand the evidence, not have political uncomfortable facts filtered out.
Political impartiality must never mean treating established evidence as ideology.
Education should teach children to examine reality critically, not sanitise it to avoid political controversy.

Y’all. We are literally witnessing a coup attempt going on live in Brazil. Bolsonaro is losing the election badly, so his people in state and local leadership are grounding flights, canceling public transportation going to Lula strongholds. Massive voter suppression. Supreme Court had to intervene to mandate 2hrs extra at the polls. Mixed reports on how many polling stations are respecting the ruling. Whew!
