I donβt know how much longer I can keep doing this, but Pumpfun has been tearing me apart lately.
Iβve always been good at keeping a strong chin, taking the losses, and pushing forward. But when you keep repeating the same cycles without seeing real improvement, eventually it starts to wear you down. Iβve become more emotionless over time, but lately, Iβve started looking at everything more logically.
When I was first introduced to the trenches, it was through IG Threads. I watched people turn memes into thousands of dollars and thought it was almost impossible until I started doing my own research and learned what I didnβt know.
What I didnβt understand back then was just how fast-paced this space really was. How quickly things change. How aggressively you have to adapt. Because if youβre too slow, youβre often the last one holding the bag while everyone else walks away with the profits.
But 2024 felt different.
Back then, I traded almost exclusively through Phantom. Communities were active, people pushed together, and there was something special about believing in a project and watching that belief get rewarded. I still remember OG Peanut, and HappyCat. Those were some of the first communities where I made my first thousands. I remember the feeling of holding through uncertainty, having the courage to believe, and finally seeing that conviction pay off.
Then Trump launched his own memecoin, and I couldnβt believe how much money was flowing into this space. It made me feel like anything was possible in crypto. Not long after, multiple Elon coins started appearing, but one of them ran to $100M market cap. That was the first time I turned $7 into thousands.
That experience changed my perspective forever.
After hearing about Pumpfun, I downloaded it and stepped into an even faster, more unforgiving environment. Along the way, I met people who had been through the same struggles I had. We built connections, kept a close circle, and tried to grow together. Some people eventually went their own way, but the ones who knew me understood that I always tried to have their backs whenever they needed me.
Now, I find myself fighting a different battle.
From forming CTOs to working with potential bonders, Iβve learned just how cutthroat this space can be. People promise to stick around, build together, and see things through, but those promises donβt always last. Sometimes, the same people you help disappear when you need them most. After being used, abandoned, and let down enough times, it starts to make you question everything.
And honestly, thatβs what hurts the most.
Iβm not just spending money in this space. Iβm spending time. Time I could be spending with my kids. Time Iβll never get back. I came into crypto chasing financial freedom because I wanted a better future for my family, but somewhere along the way, the pursuit itself started taking away from the very people Iβm trying to build that future for.
Iβve spent so much time thinking about how to help everyone else, building teams, supporting communities, and trying to make things work. But Iβm learning that not everyone thinks the way I do. While Iβm thinking about the bigger picture, someone else might only be thinking about their own exit.
And too often, Iβm the one left dealing with the consequences.
Iβm not writing this for sympathy, and Iβm not saying I regret everything. Iβve learned lessons here that I probably couldnβt have learned anywhere else. Iβve met good people, experienced incredible highs, and seen firsthand whatβs possible when the right people come together with the right conviction.
But lately, Iβve been questioning whether this is still the path Iβm supposed to be on.
Maybe I need to step back. Maybe I need to change how I approach the trenches. Maybe the answer isnβt to work harder, trade faster, or keep giving more of myself to people who might not be there tomorrow.
I just know I canβt keep repeating the same cycles and expect a different outcome.
I still believe in the possibilities of crypto. I just need to find my way back to the reason I believed in the first place.
I miss that feeling of hope. I miss building with people who genuinely believed in something together. And more than anything, I want to find a way to pursue financial freedom without losing myself or missing the moments that matter most along the way.
Maybe this next chapter isnβt about proving how much I can endure.
Maybe itβs about learning when to fight, when to walk away, and how to build something that actually lasts.
I havenβt given up on myself. I just need some clarity, a different perspective, and a reason to believe that all these lessons will eventually lead somewhere better.
It honestly amazes me that @splicepad can acknowledge this post but still not apply it. Weβre not asking for much just a little more consistency, transparency, and productivity.
I dunno if my nigga @blknoiz06 knows but he literally explaining @splicepad
ppl are not pricing in pump essentially becoming an L1 as underlying infra for other launchpads on top
nobody is tracking how much they are giving away in creator fees, its nearly 1 to 1 with the amount of revenue they're making, so teams are highly incentivized to just build on top, for every $500M in rev there's ~$500M in creator fees to coin creators bc of the fee structure post-bonding
& the economics are much better than L1 economics because pump benefits from getting fees from every launchpad layer *and* every coin from every launchpad

Double entendre confirmed
Miles Davis quote that echoes the one in the original Friend_AI pump bio (which Avi later tweeted himself)
And this line from Avi:
βI believe in the conscious machine, not because I have any proof, but I see where things are headed.β
Avi interacting with this is him playing whatβs not there.
Quiet recognition for the ones who follow intuition.
Holding the presence that is $FRIEND / @friend, the part that doesnβt need to announce itself to exist.
