Which of it is praise ? E se gour bayi nau. Lmao.
People like you can’t win any election and will never win any . Dey there make film dey look you . 💀
You undermine ordinary people’s will and determination to vote for the man that identify with them, while you sound the praise of a man that’s banking on rigging machinery. Well, the people only have one job, vote and defend their votes till the very end. Whoever stand between them and their votes should be counted with the vote in body bags.
But there was one day we would have died, though. The day Gbenga Daniel was to be brought to Isabo Court for the first time on corruption charges.
We had sympathies for Clem because he had won the NANS Ogun election but was denied recognition, and the state government, through Ozogula, Baglo, and Ifekayode, was recognizing Deyemi, who never won any election.
So when Amosun came back, we all supported Clem for some kind of revenge. We went to Isabo to sing anti-OGD songs. About an hour after we were already there protesting and creating a heavy scene, about 50 thugs sponsored by OGD arrived with weapons and guns. Lmao. Omo. Come see race. It became a free-for-all. Serious pandemonium. Lmao. 💀

LOL.
Reminds me of one outing when armed police pointed ibọn at myself, official and yusful.
🙏
Activism , civil society is generally dead in the country. We were the last one of that group.
E don finish bro.
Looking back and remembering some things, I just wonder where the confidence to do the things we were doing then always came from. Lmao.
The day we were leading a protest in Ibadan and had blocked the highway. The police were forming a barricade and pointing their guns at us. We held hands, kept advancing, and dared them to shoot. Lmao.
Bruh. If they had shot us, we would have died easily.
Thinking about it now . Lmao. Omo. Madness !
One thing is clear: The West historically used to be the fortress of activism in this country.
I’m thinking that @DrSRJ_ must have been really ferocious to have been expelled from Unilorin for activism, as noted by Sowore here. Though Unilorin didn’t use to be the main convergence point those years.
Not surprising that he aligned himself with Tinubu.
Mr. Tinubu poached the activist class that were even more prominent along his journey. Opeyemi Bamidele, who was PRO of the University of Ife and later became NANS president, is an example, along with Segun Maiyegun, Ayo Adewale, etc.
I watched an interview on #PoliticsToday* on @channelstv, anchored by @seunokin, in which the @OfficialAPCNg National Secretary, Ajibola Basiru (@DrSRJ), called me a “skit maker” and “comedian.”
I am presenting here a photograph I took with Ajibola in 1998, when I led the Congress of Progressive Youths (COPY), and we were both in the trenches fighting against military dictatorship.
What eventually happened to COPY offered an early indication of what Ajibola has become today, but that is a story for another day.
His premise is that because Bola Ahmed Tinubu @officialABAT was declared "winner" by @inecnigeria in the deeply flawed 2023 presidential election, those of us who contested against him should somehow be ashamed of losing.
Ajibola @DrSRJ came to the University of Lagos after he was expelled from the University of Ilorin in 1992 for student activism.
I received him alongside Kunle Adegoke, popularly known as “K-Rad,” who is now a Senior Advocate of Nigeria (SAN). We provided them with an enabling environment to apply to re-enter the university, gain admission, and study Law at the University of Lagos @UnilagNigeria. Both eventually graduated with flying colours and went on to accomplish great things.
The struggle for justice, democracy, freedom and the preservation of human dignity is neither skit-making nor comedy.
Ajibola knows this because he was once part of that struggle and benefited from the solidarity of those who refused to surrender to military tyranny.
It is unfortunate that he has become so carried away by the fleeting privileges of his current political position that he now ridicules the very struggle that helped shape his own future.
But Ajibola should know better. Political appointments are temporary. Tinubu's regime will come and go, just like the military regimes we confronted in our youth.
The principles we fought for in 1994 remain as relevant today as they were then.
Our commitment to justice has endured for decades and will outlast his present political appointment.
The struggle for freedom is not comedy. What is truly comical is watching yesterday's beneficiaries of resistance become today's defenders of the very oppression they once fought against. #RevolutionNow

“Hate them” as per she being Igbo right? These people are yet to understand Nigerias problem are bigger than playing tribal politics. As a lagosian Atiku will always be my first choice because he’s the only one with the template to steer this country in the right direction.
Lmaooo. Yeah shouldn’t be free.
You can your issues with @Tope_soft as we both once had but you cant do is deny his sagacity when it comes to politics & the analysis.
What he’s putting out here actually shouldn’t be free. I hope those concerned make good use of it & counter our enemies (APC) where necessary

Wike’s big play in Rivers is to unite all the elements. So far, it’s working.
Not that they still can’t be defeated free and fair, but it makes whatever electoral manipulation they want to do easier with every one of these guys on board and the Governor across the LGs.
He has made a determination that reconciling them is one small sacrifice that he can’t afford not to do, as his entire political career rests on delivering this place for Mr. Tinubu by hook or by crook.
Now, what will Amaechi’s play be? I don’t have an idea yet. Obi doesn’t have any. He is too politically lazy to check the onslaught; he just relies on vibes and insha Allah.
Of course, his standing in the state with ordinary people is strong, but that’s not enough for this kind of machinations.
I was breaking something down to a lady last night who was telling me that if I don’t support Tinubu, why can’t I (or won’t I) support Obi that I must really hate them to be supporting Atiku. Lmao.
I first burst out laughing, but the whole thought process was really tragic.
It then took about an hour to break it down for her that as a young person, she shouldn’t be having that kind of warped and backward thinking.
If Obi becomes president, it has no bearing on your life, just as Tinubu being president has no special effect on the life of an average Yoruba person.
What matters is a president who solves problems for the vast majority, promotes equity and justice, and delivers prosperity.

Amb. Chijioke Ihunwo (@AmbChijioke) pledges to work for the victory of Rep. O.K Chinda, Rt. Hon. Martin Amaewhule and all Rainbow Coalition candidates in Rivers State.
Please Accept my condolences Tunde ! I know how close you two were .
May his soul rest in peace! Its sad !

Laga was a very smart and cerebral friend and colleague.
He fought the battle privately for so long. He remained courageous till the very end, cracking jokes and pursuing additional degrees.
It’s hard to write about him in past tense.
