The potency of a proper left arm swing bowler! Sheer brilliance💥 so difficult to bat against!🫣 Mitchell Starc bowled some Average Spells tbh this morning then clicked with the 2nd New Ball and cleaned up - blew SAfrica away in Evening. SA 329a/o Starc's 20th 5for!💥
Finally Gr8 to see a crowd at Newlands for the final Test #SAvAus. One of the finest Cricket Grounds in the World on the backside of the famous Table Mountain and always a terrific social occasion. Weather looks beautiful to match the City! So many friends shall be there in Jan

Just quietly whilst this Test is going on Sri Lanka have bowled Pakistan out for 110 in Eng’s Tri-Series ODIs. This could possibly mean Eng will be out & ‘without a whimper’.

instagram.com/reel/De7mh-3jR… To be honest extremely underwhelmed. Cant keep losing such games. Too many alrounders not enough proper bowlers in XI Bowlers win games!

Huge decision by the New @lancscricket regime! 2026 stats: 322.1 overs in 11 championship matches av 29.1 = pretty good! t20Blast: Lancs most economical bowler. So no glorious farewell for a giant of the game! – at Polstead, England

Love it .... @Simon_Harmer_ you beauty! Deserved that wicket! Labuschagne gone - done in the air, advancing down, and a decent swirling catch by Jansen running backwards. Terrific reward! Aus 100/2 – at Kersey, England
Pleased to see South Africa bowling Aussies out for 99 but Nortje, sadly has a groin strain. Jansen having a magical game but quietly, so is @EssexCricket's Harmer with his Catching and Batting. With a bowler down expect Harmer to help the seamers - he will love responsibility

England's ODI tri-series in Pakistan that started today looks like a tipping point in terms of fixture saturation. First tour I can remember (outside Covid) where there are ZERO UK national newspaper journalists covering. Administrators killing interest with overkill

Thx to @butcher_roland for finding this very old image of @GeoffreyBoycott practicing in the Nursery End Nets at @HomeOfCricket in 1982. Simples - how do so many politicians get elected to parliament without being rich but finish their careers as multi millionaires. Can I remember Old Man Kinnock falling over in the sea? #BBCQT That QT elderly lady that rattled Kinnock Jun was absolutely right! – at Kersey, England
Stephen Kinnock’s claim that there were no boat people because we were in the European Union is a straightforward lie. Illegal immigrants flooded in by lorry, train and cars. They disappeared into towns/cities and couldn’t be properly counted. When advances in technology made these methods of transport much harder to use the illegal migrants took to boats, courtesy of the people smugglers. Since the boats are usually interdicted on arrival the counting is easier. Nothing to do with being in or out of the EU.

I can entirely understand his stance. As for paying punters lets look at starting earlier in the UK and even going on later first. The other than red, coloured balls, are just not up to standard! #SAvAus
❌ "I don't like it. To change a red ball for a pink ball, I think it's a bit chancy to be honest. For us, it's a no." Australia Head Coach Andrew McDonald explains why he's not in favour of using pink balls in daytime Test Matches Hear commentary of #SAvAUS on @talkSPORT2 🏏

Seriously heartbreaking to see hardly anyone in watching 1st Day of the Test #SAvAus from Kingsmead. A marquee Test Series both hugely proud nations that wont give an inch. Those cooking the braii, boerewos, potjies, bunny chow & sosaties wont be selling much today!
Pleased South Africa are playing Simon Harmer and interestingly, playing two spinners at Kingsmead in the 1st Test tomorrow v Australia. Another @EssexCricket player, Wiaan Mulder is also selected in the SA XI as one of the 3 seamers. The first hour in Durban is always tricky!

A brilliant and hard working Hd Groundsman, leading his team. Well done all! I can even remember Mr Kerrison doing his stuff at Esx from my own playing days, when I used to plead with him overnight to fill in the deep foot holes! – at Polstead, England
A huge thank you to Stuart Kerrison and his team for producing first-class and international pitches throughout the 2026 season. ❤️ 🌱 Working with a limited number of pitches compared to others, with the training nets and pitches on the same square, alongside a heavy training and fixture schedule, Stuey and his team always have a smile on their faces, come rain or shine! 🦅 #FlyLikeAnEagle
