“No, io voglio l’8”, rispondeva lui. Poi, quando cadde l’aereo del Grande Torino, era disperato. Dopo quel momento disse: “Io mi metto la mia maglietta e diventerò il capitano del Torino”.» In memoria di Giorgio Ferrini 🙏🐂

Got two packets of Calciatori Panini stickers to open opposite the Stadio Grande Torino in the hope it brings me luck and I can find a Ché Adams. Do you think I can find him? ChatGPT says the odds are 1.96% 🍀

A final attempt to find Ché before I leave Italy. (There’s a chance I may have also bought a box of 60 packets for back in England)

Petrachi with 2 euros has built the strongest Torino of all time.

Now a personal plea! Does anyone have a contact at @TorinoFC_1906 or @CheAdams_ who thinks it may be possible to get his shirt from tonight. As a Southampton & Toro fan I’ve obviously supported Ché since he signed and was always planning to get a match-worn shirt one day (1/3)

However, to get one from a match where he scored (and more importantly) I was able to watch live would be incredible and would take pride of place in my home office. A more personal anecdote is that Ché flew to Turin to sign the contact on my wedding day as well. (2/3)

I was also supposed to attend #TorinoUdinese that was postponed at short notice (Ché scored in the re-arranged match of course) I’m happy to pay for it, or make a contribution to a charity of Ché’s choice. Sempre Forza Toro! (3/3)

In my 20 years of supporting Toro, I’ve rarely seen a group of players have this connection with the fans so quickly. The team greeting the Maratona before the game like this is evidence of that - although obviously helped by the three wins before this game.

Disappointing to lose obviously but encouraged by a great performance for 60 minutes where we more than matched a Champions League side. Just fatigue killed us in the end.

Not sure Marcus Pedersen could even score a goal like this on the Playstation. nitter.gq/CompsMercu/status/2113…

Great scenes at the end between the players and the Curva Maratona. Excellent reaction to Comuzzo’s mistake early in the 2nd half. Brilliant goals from Belghali and Vlasic, Patterson unlucky with a late own goal after a promising cameo. But it wins @ma_macer a bet at least!

#Torino 3-2 #Monza - FT An excellent 2nd half performance by Toro as they win three successive games (in the same season) for the first time since March 2019. Somewhat apt that it comes against Ivan Jurić who wasted so many chances in his spell at the club. #TorinoMonza
