Standing against Jew hatred is standing up for the values that define us and for the Canada we believe in.
To those participating in shameful boycott campaigns and disguising anti-Jewish hatred as human-rights advocacy, let us be clear, Israel and the Jewish people are here to stay. So are those of us who stand with them, including proud Zionists who believe in the Jewish people’s right to self-determination and Israel’s right to exist as their homeland.
Shabbat shalom, from your ally.

The fact that it was a kosher bakery apparently wasn’t worth mentioning. Shameful headline ⬇️

The business is Mimimelon, a kosher bakery with ties to the Jewish community in St-Laurent. Montreal police hate crimes unit is investigating the suspected arsons.

Israel’s Arab-led parties won 19 Knesset seats.
Today all of them backed Gadi Eisenkot to form the next government, giving him 67 endorsements to Netanyahu’s 46.
Arab voters and lawmakers are playing a big role in shaping Israeli society.
Remember these facts the next time someone tries to hit you with the apartheid libel. It’s simply not true.

There is no such thing as an "anti-Zionist" in the Israeli mind. It's not a coherent word, says @havivrettiggur.
What's Zionism to an Israeli Jew? It's literally the last living Jews in the hemisphere and everywhere else kicked you out or murdered you.

I want to talk to my pro-Israel friends really directly. El-Sayed winning is a disaster, just like Mamdani. There’s no way to sugarcoat that.
But it’s so much worse.
CAIR and the Islamists are producing their own red-green alliance to have hundreds of Mamdanis running for office at the state and local level.
The good news is moderate Democrats won last night. Pro-Israel Democrats won last night. This was not a DSA win. This was a repudiation of Trump and his focus on culture war over actually governing.
There are no shortcuts available here.
We’re gonna have to do the hard long-term work of exposing these Jew haters and their anti-American ideology and making sure they don’t get elected.
The way I see it, we have sixteen months to save the Democratic Party. If the progressive message wins, and the Democratic Party becomes synonymous with anti-Americanism - your fears will come true.
But last night showed the American people don’t want the DSA agenda. This battle is winnable.
Take a day or two to mourn, and then we’ll regroup and get back to work. Am Yisrael Chai.

What if I told you there was a medication that could reduce the risk of dying from an opioid overdose to roughly ZERO.
Most Canadians have never heard of it.
It’s called buprenorphine.
At the Health Committee, I questioned Dr. Pouya Azar, an addiction medicine specialist with frontline experience treating substance use disorders, about this life-saving treatment.
Buprenorphine reduces opioid cravings and withdrawal symptoms, helping those struggling with addiction stabilize their lives and begin recovery.
Dr. Azar testified that this treatment is basically 100% effective at preventing death by opioid overdose.
This raises a serious question about the Liberal government’s approach to Canada’s opioid crisis.
Why has so much attention and funding been directed toward ideologically-driven “safe supply” programs while Canadians continue to face barriers accessing evidence-based addiction treatment?
Canadians deserve answers about why treatments like buprenorphine are not more widely accessible.
If we’re serious about addressing Canada’s opioid crisis, we need to make evidence-based treatment and recovery a priority.

No one tried to throw Jared Golden down the Democratic Party's memory hole when he endorsed Mike Lawler.
What's happening to Haley Stevens is barbarous and misogynistic.
TorontoSusan retweeted
Haley Stevens has displayed courage, integrity and leadership. She understood that the Democratic Party would punish her publicly and privately. And still did the right thing. To stay silent about El-Sayed’s Leninist-Islamist, antisemitic and anti-American agenda would be to be complicit in it. Heaps of shame on all those within that party that endorse him and his ilk in the vain hope that somehow actual power will change him.
Well Done Haley! BRAVO 👏

Rare Moment of Truth: Today at the United Nations, diplomats will be watching an essential documentary about terror-infested UNRWA.
Title of the film: “Unraveling UNRWA.” Stay tuned for my next post to see why this title is more relevant than ever.

Haley Stevens knew that endorsing Mike Rogers would mean the end of her career in the Democratic Party. She knew that her colleagues and so-called allies would turn on her. And she did it anyway.
She looked at the candidate her party chose and saw someone who has built his political career on demonizing America and Israel and excusing terrorism.
@HaleyforMI chose her country and her conscience over party loyalty and political ambition. I have nothing but deep respect for her.

Avi Shlaim, an Oxford professor, says Israel “made it impossible” for Jews to keep living in Baghdad. My mother’s family is from Baghdad. Here is what he left out:
Jewish life under Arab rule was never equal. For centuries Jews lived as dhimmis, a “protected” minority, and the protection came with rules:
• A Jew could not testify against a Muslim in court.
• A synagogue could not stand taller than a mosque.
• Jews could not ride horses or carry weapons.
• Jews paid a special tax for the right to exist.
• Jews wore identifying marks on their clothes, a thousand years before the Nazis.
Then in June 1941 a mob in Baghdad killed almost 200 Jews in two days. My grandmother hid in the back of a café while a man shot a mother’s seven children in front of her. Israel did not exist yet.
In 1948 Iraq made Zionism a crime punishable by death. In 1950 it let Jews leave only if they gave up their citizenship. In 1951 it froze their bank accounts and took their homes. My grandparents arrived in Israel that year with nothing. In 1969 it hanged nine Jews in a public square and invited crowds to celebrate.
None of that was Israel. That was Iraq, doing it to its own citizens.
Shlaim knows all of this. He is one voice in a bigger project, and the project has a purpose. If you can convince people that Jews lived happily in Arab lands until Zionism, then 850,000 Jewish refugees stop being refugees. They become people who left for no reason. The Arab governments that robbed and expelled them get a clean record. And Israel, a country where most Jews come from the Middle East, can be sold as a European colony that has no business existing there. Even though ALL JEWS are indigenous to this land, no matter where in the diaspora we lived.
That is the point of the trend. Erase the Mizrahi story and there is only one refugee story left in the region, and only one side with a grievance.
It takes a Jew with an Oxford title to make that erasure respectable. There is a market for it, and he is not the only one selling.

Ten million people have watched a comedian accidentally destroy the entire TED talk industry.
He filmed the talk once at TEDxNewYork in 2014 and openly admitted he had nothing to say.
Speaking coaches charge $5,000 to teach the exact tricks he used in 6 minutes to say nothing at all.
His name is Will Stephen. He is a comedian from Late Night with Seth Meyers who was invited to give a real TED talk and used it to prove the format is a costume anyone can wear.
Every TED speaker opens with a question, tells a personal story, cites a scientist, and shows a chart. Stephen did all four in six minutes with zero content.
His entire formula fits on a napkin.
Gesture with both hands. Ask the audience a question anyone can answer. Tell a mildly embarrassing story so they say aww. Point to a stranger on a slide and call them important. Flash a chart of random numbers. Wear glasses with no lenses. The audience will think you are brilliant.
That last trick alone has probably cost the public speaking coaching industry a hundred million dollars in sessions clients should have skipped.
"If you watched me on YouTube with the sound off, you would think I was a genius."
That is Will Stephen on the TED stage, three minutes into the talk he was paid to give. He wasn't lying.
Executives pay $15,000 for a keynote coach and still open with a joke the room never laughs at. Founders rehearse their pitch for weeks and still sound like Stephen at minute four, saying "wagga wah, gabba gabba" with authority.
The talk is free on YouTube. The method is written across every TED speaker's playbook for ten years.
Stephen still writes for Seth Meyers. Almost none of the ten million viewers have stopped nodding at empty slides since.
The formula is free. The willingness to actually say something before your next keynote, pitch, or townhall is the entire edge.
