A couple of interesting conversations about smash last night, but the thing that stood out most was Spacecraft. We finally got to play and I gotta amend my previous Samus post to put him in the category of Samus player you can feel outplayed by.

We had 2 great sets, I got rocked in the first and managed to eke out a win in the second. Can safely say he is the first Samus I have felt skill expression and conscious thought from, and even more importantly I had fun playing him.

Good take. Diddy kong is insanely good as a smash character, he just exists in a game in which other characters have to work less hard for a larger reward

In a vacuum Ult Diddy Kong is actually pretty busted imo. He unfortunately just exists in a meta that is pretty awful for him. Which is why hes not talked about as this insanely broken character.

This whole debate is silly. The commentator made a mistake. Kels is correcting him. She stated that she was born female indicating there was likely no reason to make this mistake in that she has never used another pronoun. 1/3

Everyone trying to villainize her are logically inconsistent. If you believe trans people are within their right to correct someone for pronoun usage then you should believe she is in the right as well. The concept of defining yourself as trans (mtf or ftm) by its own 2/3

I went to my first local after about a year of not competing yesterday. I had so much anxiety about ever showing up again but seeing how so much of the scene has grown and picked up the responsibility of running tourneys. It made me really happy. I’m proud of Minnesota
