OpenAI CEO Sam Altman says it’s “quite terrible” that people have so much DRAM sitting in their own PCs instead of being used in data centers. “Everyone have a bunch of the world’s limited supply of DRAM sitting in their own computer. Tim Sweeney is taking another shot at Steam. The Epic Games CEO claims Valve has “held gaming back for years” by locking PC games into Steamworks’ ecosystem. Sweeney argues that Steam’s social features make it harder for players on PC to communicate cross-platform while also criticizing Steam’s 30% cut. However, that claim isn’t completely accurate. Valve’s Steam Datagram Relay can also be used across other platforms.
