You're mocking Saka for winning an award you don't understand, but you celebrated Messi for being made a doctor you don't understand.

Arsenal fans spoke about how the hate towards Saka simply isn't normal and we were silenced about it, but now you can clearly see it for yourselves

A Nigerian you know
Saka winning the Socrates Award is just a charity handout so Arsenal fans don't cry tears over walking out of another ceremony empty-handed. The actual work. He partnered with BigShoe to fund 120 life-changing surgeries for kids in Kano, Nigeria. Great off-pitch work, but let’s stop pretending this is about football pedigree. Arsenal had to invent a sympathy category just to touch a trophy tonight. #BallondOr

I’ll always say the Saka hate is forced. They think he’s crap but compare him to everyone and then laugh at him for being a good person? 🫠
Using your platform to mock someone who received an award for helping kids in need, nice one @AJKNOWSBALL17

Define Social Studies award in football terms.

It's ok tho because Hapo from Nigeria think it a social media experiment award 🤝🏿
I'm putting this here for football lovers who still don't know what the Socrates Award means. The Sócrates Award was introduced in 2022 at the Ballon d'Or ceremony. It recognises footballers for their humanitarian work and positive social impact off the pitch. Sadio Mané was the award's first-ever winner followed by Vinicius Jr, Jenni Hermoso, Xana Foundation (created by Luiz Enrique). Bukayo Saka won the 2026 award for his humanitarian work that goes beyond football. 🇳🇬 Healthcare in Nigeria: Helped fund 120 life-changing surgeries for disadvantaged children in Kano State. 🌍 Medical aid across Africa: Supported treatment for children in Rwanda, Kenya and Tanzania, including a Rwandan boy whose eyesight improved after receiving medical care. 🎒 Education: Donated over 1,000 school uniforms to four schools in Ealing, London, including his former school. ⚽ Supporting vulnerable young people: Donated over 100 pairs of football boots to young people supported by Street Soccer Academy, which helps those experiencing homelessness. 🏠 Disaster relief: Helped provide accommodation for 26 families affected by the 2023 earthquakes in Türkiye. ✊ Fighting racism: Publicly challenged social media platforms over the racist abuse he and his England teammates faced after the Euro 2020 final. Saka is using his success and resources to improve lives, from helping children in his parents’ homeland of Nigeria to supporting vulnerable communities elsewhere. His impact extends beyond goals, assists and trophies. ❤️⚽

Bukayo Saka won the Socrates Award for his good heart and humanitarian efforts. He's doing some things the Nigerian government and APC will never give to its citizens. Vote Wisely.
