Bengals Beat: Appreciating What 'Relentless' Ted Karras Means To The City of Cincinnati 'We're going to build forever'. STORY: clnscincy.com/bengals-beat-a… #WhoDey
Jonathan Allen, Dexter Lawrence II, BJ Hill take part in walk-through before Friday practice before leaving. Given early dismissal before practice.
Bengals injury report Thursday: Kyle Dugger upgraded to full participation. BJ Hill, Jonathan Allen get vet days:
Ja’Marr Chase has 27 catches and 289 yards in 5 games. In the 2021 game in Baltimore Chase had 8 for 201 alone: “It actually was a big game for me. I got fined. I damn near missed the whole meeting that week, that year. So, I actually had to play good because I came late to a morning practice, and I think it was a Friday or Saturday I came late to, and then after the game, after we won, they was like, ‘If you come late, and if you doing stuff like that, you can come late every time. So that's a good little joke to have.”
Tee Higgins on Trey Hendrickson “forgiving” Bengals Thursday for any hard feelings after he left after last season: “That's my guy, man. I hope he does well, but I hope he don't. Does that make sense? But, I’ve got the utmost respect for Trey. He's always been good to me, so I got a lot of respect for him.”
"They're a well-rounded defense at the end of the day ... but they gotta play us." Ja'Marr Chase on the Ravens D.
Ja'Marr Chase recalls that road game in Baltimore in 2021 he was late to a team practice on a Friday or Saturday before the game, jokes he was told if he repeated that performance in Baltimore "keep being late"
Bengals Beat: Joe Burrow, Zac Taylor Prepare For The Jesse Minter Challenge In Baltimore. MY COLUMN: clnscincy.com/bengals-beat-j… #whodey
With Bob Huggins about to be inducted into the Bearcats Hall of Fame this weekend, his family and the University of Cincinnati have released a statement on his condition:
Great stuff here (with huge assist from the great @Dan_Hoard) from Dexter Lawrence II on the “Flying Squirrel” against Malik Willis and the emphasis this week on tackling Derrick Henry this Sunday. “It's going to be a good challenge. My emphasis today at practice was just we got tackle this week. We got to wrap him up, and we got to bring him down. So just watching how he run the ball, he's a big dude running the ball. If I can say so, like when I was running the ball back in the day But I think with a guy like him, just the big guys up front just can't let him climb to the second level. We got to build a wall and keep him behind it.”
Joe Burrow on what Bengals need to prove Sunday in Baltimore: “Yeah, I'm very confident in it, but you know we got to go and prove it. We haven't proven anything yet, and that's what sport is all about: is proving yourself against a worthy opponent in front of the world. So that's what we're going to go try to do on Sunday… any time you play a divisional opponent, you're really looking forward to it. I always love playing the Ravens. We know what kind of game it's going to be, and it's going to be a test of our mental fortitude, like it always is.”
Joe Burrow didn’t meet J.D. Vance Wednesday. “We did not. We did not. He came with everybody and left with swiftness and efficiency before the end of practice. So I didn't get to. … Yeah, a lot of people. A lot of people around. That's what I love about what I do is it brings a lot of people together, and people want to take time out of their day to come and watch what we do, watch what I do, and watch all the work that I've put in to come and watch greatness. And that's everybody in the locker room. That's why we do what we do, and whether it's on the TV, whether it's in person, whether it's on the practice field, that's what we do.”
