Brad Bird explains that each person's powers in ‘THE INCREDIBLES’ represents an average family unit. “Fathers are expected to be strong, so I made him super strong. Mothers are pulled in ten directions at once, so she stretches. Teenagers are insecure & defensive so she can turn invisible & has force fields. 10-year old boys are energy balls that just go until they pass out. Babies are unknowns, they could be the next leader of the free world or they could be a bag man, you don’t know.” (Source: @ThatHollywood)
