TransFam App V1.2 is ready!! After months of development, we are excited to announce our first major update to the TransFam application! As of today, in-app chatting has been enabled, allowing heroes and supporters to get to know each other directly through the app.

So what is the #TransFamilyNetwork? What do we believe in, what do we do & why are we doing it? Here is a little summary of our values & mission! (cont. of image description in comment)
The Trans Family Network believes that every trans person, regardless of their race, age, gender, legal status in the US, or disability has the right to live a safe, affirmed & empowered life. Access to community & connection is essential in building resiliency and finding support - and the most privileged of us, especially cis people, have a responsibility to those of us in need by joining the fight for our rights. As an organization, we strive for transparency, equity & a margin to center approach by uplifting & empowering the most vulnerable members of our diverse community. We connect members of the trans community in need with people who want to support them in impactful, direct & personalized ways. Trans people, as well as the guardians of trans minors, can register their specific needs regarding financial, legal, emotional, shelter, or transportation-based support in a safe & effective way while maintaining privacy and full control over the entire process.

The first update to our app is out!! Most of this release was focused on mobile web stability and data structure. This release contains some breaking changes to be aware of. Since the data structure changed you may notice some ‘missing’ offers or requests.

The first 10 days of the Trans Family Network 12811 lines of code written 6 moms of trans kids befriended 4973 words published 56 notion pages populated 3 all nighters 36 design elements created 1 wachowski sibling pestered 51 form questions written 12 app versions released 1 accidental elden ring post on TFN twitter 2 romantic partners pulled in to help on short notice 3 new friends made 133 people signed up on the app so far 1 transphobic editor fended off 54 tasks finished 1 mobile hotspots used to debug from office parking lot 218 hours worked total
