A major win for PBM transparency. Transparency Rising joined @USDOL, @DrOzCMS, and @Sonderling47 for the announcement of the final PBM fee disclosure rule. Employers deserve to know where their healthcare dollars are going.

The DOL is expected to release its final PBM transparency rule today. Speaking during a virtual briefing, @Trans_Rising CEO Joe Shields noted: “[Net effective cost] should anchor every PBM bid, contract negotiation, and evaluation of performance.”

New: The @WSJ reports that the @USDOL is expected to release a rule requiring PBMs to disclose information on prescription drug spending with employers.
The move is the latest step in efforts to reform the industry and lower costs.
