Out now in @TheTxIDjournal , Cyclospora in transplant recipients during the 2026 multistate outbreak. Routine stool O&P misses it, so you have to order it specifically. Grateful to mentor Dr. Robin Avery for her guidance! #TxID #IDTwitter

NEW #IDSAGuidelines! For the 2025-2026 respiratory season, IDSA strongly recommends age-appropriate COVID-19 vaccinations for immunocompromised adults and children: bit.ly/4nQWtmk

This is the season to get vaccinated for the big three respiratory viruses: #Flu, #COVID, and #RSV. Who needs what?
-Flu: Everyone 6 months +
-RSV: Everyone 75yo+ and 50-74yo at higher risk. Also, get it in pregnancy to prevent RSV in your newborn. If not, give injected antibodies (monoclonal antibodies) for newborns whose moms didn’t get vaccinated against RSV in pregnancy.
-COVID-19: ask your provider AND remember 6m-23m and 65yo+ are at high risk and should get it. 24m-64yo w risk factors too (including pregnancy)
Make these infections go from WILD TO MILD. Vaccines can prevent infection or make infection less severe! This is how you RISK LESS TO DO MORE with your family and friends!
