i have an idea - everyone chooses which ever clock they wanna be on.
You can be Daylight Savings time yr round if you want.
Or you can be on Standard time if you want.
Or you can alternate like normal.
You can even switch it up every year.
Or we can get extreme with it and switch up what clock you're on as often as every day?
Who's with me?
why did @JeffBezos allow @amazon to turn into Temu?
i havent paid for anything in amazon in 8 months and i fully expect the trend to continue. It'll be 8 years in no time.
After 15 yrs, I think this will be my last year selling on Amazon. It has now become a DEN OF THIEVES. Buyers purchase an expensive item, receive it, claim it's damaged, return it (but what the buyer returns is usually some broken junk they had laying around their house, while they keep what was in the box they received). Amazon issues a refund to the buyer and the seller can be out thousands of dollars. And Amazon ALWAYS sides with the buyer, rarely the seller.
It is also now overrun by Chinese sellers hijacking small mom & pop listings & getting take down orders on the mom & pop listings as I outline in my post below from 2025. And there is literally nothing the small US businesses can do to rectify it.
And now the fees they charge almost make it impossible to make a profit. One absurd fee they rolled out is a "Low inventory fee". If you run out of stock of an item because it sells fast, you get charged a fee FOR BEING OUT OF STOCK. Heaven forbid your supplier is out of stock, or you just don't have any extra inventory of that item, they'll still whack you with a fee each month for not having inventory at their fulfillment center for them to ship out. Coupled with all the other fees they charge, you can easily hit 40% of your sales revenue going straight to Amazon in fees now. That doesn't include YOUR costs, like cost of goods, packaging, etc.
After 15 years, to me, it's just really not worth it anymore. It's been a good run but they've made it almost impossible for small third party sellers to make a profit. They prioritized the low cost Chinese knock offs years ago and now seem to prioritize complete thievery all in the name of Bezos' original mission of being the "Earth’s most customer-centric company.” The first and most important principle of Amazon's Leadership Principles is "Customer Obsession".
But I'll add one tweak: "Customer Obsession: Even if the customer is a blatant thief"

i have 40 ibew electricians working on my facility right now. they stand around doing nothing more than they do anything else.
that is most union workers in a nutshell. efficiency is not in their dna.
finding enough GOOD electricians. ibew has very few per local and seattle's ratio is complete shit. of the 500 union electricians i've worked with. 10 were good. the rest were clueless and weren't qualified to be cardholders.
most ibew JWs weren't rotated, have limited exposure, and were silo'd into one type install their entire apprenticeship. ibew is a collective shitshow at large.
Replying to @IBEW
@ibew wants illegals off their jobs, but ibew donates millions to the party that allows millions of illegals to gain unauthorized employment and work on union sites.
Ibew wants to have their cake and eat it too.
Its why i will never take a union call again in my life. They are the contradictory hypocritical antithesis of America.

In America, letting a 6-year-old ride the subway alone gets you arrested for child neglect.

A small boy. Barely 40 pounds.
Yellow safety hat. Big leather backpack.
No parent.
He hops onto a packed train.
Holds the low rail.
Steps through an ocean of 3 million rushing commuters.
Nobody kidnaps him.
Nobody touches him.
Every adult in that car silently becomes his guardian.
That’s not just transit safety.
That’s what freedom actually looks like.

SpaceX's next big move could shake up not just AT&T, Verizon and T-Mobile, but even Apple and Samsung
Wall Street is starting to realize just how massive Elon Musk's ambitions for Starlink Mobile have become
SpaceX just announced an agreement to acquire nationwide 800 MHz spectrum, bringing it closer to building a mobile network that combines satellites in space with traditional cellular infrastructure on the ground
And now analysts are looking at an even bigger possibility
Gene Munster believes SpaceX could eventually develop its own Starlink smartphone, despite Elon previously saying he doesn't want to make one
Think about what that would mean
SpaceX would control the satellites, spectrum, mobile network and potentially even the smartphone itself
A fully integrated system could offer unique connectivity features, eliminate coverage gaps and potentially deliver cheaper mobile service
AT&T, Verizon and T-Mobile would face a serious new competitor, while Apple and Samsung could find themselves competing with SpaceX in the smartphone market
And the wild part is that SpaceX doesn't even need to build its own phone to start disrupting the telecom industry
Elon is building an entirely new kind of mobile network, and the implications are really enormous
