Today’s Feel Good Fur-day is from a family who “fostered failed” with a 10-year-old cat named Charlie who has a lot of medical needs. After almost two months of fostering him, they decided they wanted to be his last home.

Today’s Feel Good Fur-day is about a family who took a chance on a stray Lab Retriever puppy we called King. We name all of the strays at TCHS because we believe everyone deserves a name instead of being a number!

TCHS's animals tend to get adopted very fast – so fast, that sometimes those who stay at the shelter a little longer stick out! Such is the case with Peggy, a beautiful cat who waited almost a month to find her match.

It's another Feel Good Fur-Day! Adopted animals adjust to their new homes at different paces. For some, there’s no wait time; for others, it can take weeks (or months). And for some, like Nigel the cat, it’s a very quick turnaround!

For new adopters, proper introductions to new people, places, and pets are crucial to helping a former shelter animal adjust to their new home successfully. This is important with extra shy or anxious pets – like today’s Feel Good Fur-day: ow.ly/jIGX50IWmC0
At TCHS, a dog’s breed is often a guess – an educated guess, but a guess no less! Today’s Feel Good Fur-day story is the results of an alum who had a DNA test, plus more. Read it here tricountyhumanesociety.org/w…
Today’s Feel Good Fur-day is about a cat and a human who found each other at the exact right time. A 7-year-old cat then named Callie came to the shelter after her owner passed away. She was adopted two days later. Read her story here ow.ly/7Vlo50IKEWK
