But I think it is important to acknowledge that I am aware that they do more than the average child; I want the children to know that I see all that they do, and that I appreciate their help so much. #youngcarers trippingthroughtreacle.com/g… via @trippingtreacle

Hopefully game-changing! How amazing would this be if it worked? 🤞🏻 medicalnewstoday.com/article…

Tired? No, listen. MS sucks the life force from you, chews it up and spits it out. And then you get to watch as MS pisses all over it. Meanwhile, you can’t think straight b/c all your remaining energy is going into continuing to exist. That’s MS tired. #MS #MultipleSclerosis

🫵 What has been the most important thing for *You* this week? ❓❓
Expect to collect my new #motability car this week but I still need some adaptions made. I’m going to go for hand controls but I am a bit nervous about getting used to them! Any experiences? #Disability #MS

Happy #DisabilityPrideMonth folks. I wonder when we'll see the same ability to celebrate & have our voices heard that other groups get when they mark that they are proud to be who they are? Go us!
I've been struggling a lot due to my #MS, so haven't been on social media much! But I wondered if any other MSers have had spasticity on one side of their neck? It has come on twice for me now, each time lasts a week or so and is painful AF :(

MS/menopause
Thrilled the Burning Debate @ECTRIMS23 will be:
"All women with MS should start hormone replacement therapy at menopause unless contraindicated."
With @drruthdobson, @rrvoskuhl & @melindamagyari
Recognising 2/3 of ppl with MS are women & all will go thru menopause

I’m sure this had the best intentions as an act of friendship but… it’s classic non-disabled gaze. A wheelchair is the dignified way to move when you can’t walk, not a horrible thing to escape. Being lifted out of it and carried makes most of us (not all!) wince at the thought.

True confession
After asking if ppl with MS often found themselves apologising/justifying their disability, I realised it was time to make some changes.
So today I took out my Transport For London "Pls offer me a seat" badge which has been in my drawer for 3 yrs.
Time to use it.
If you watch anything today, PLEASE watch this from @alice_ella_. It is AMAZING.

Sharing this from my blog for #MEAwarenessDay #WorldMEDay ~ quotes from 42 people with #MECFS, on the reality of what it feels like living with this devastating disease.
“A life with ME is like a non-existence. I’m alive, yet not really living”

If you contact an #MSNurse via email, is there a specific time frame for when they need to get back to you? I emailed as I had a specific complicated question to ask and the phone went to voicemail. I’ve never met her, but she told me that I could always email her as needed.

I just experienced my first MS hug.
Scared me because it, at first, felt similar to the chest pains I had with my heart attack a year ago. This article helped me understand the difference. Whew!

This is so important. I was diagnosed earlier than the lady Aaron is talking about but I too was 'left to languish'. I was never offered an MRI to look at whether my MS was progressing or DMDs between the years 1995 - 2016. Few relapses and told that I had 'benign MS'. Now SPMS.
Warning. This is a rant. It's also just my opinion. youtu.be/yNVczpLwPMM via @YouTube

Brilliant interview today with Prof Sarah Rugheimer. All round over-achiever and MSer.
