#Ramayana is an absolute PEAK CINEMATIC EXPERIENCE that has to be witnessed on the biggest screen possible. #NiteshTiwari hits the bullseye and delivers an experience for the ages. This will have a remembrance for ages and ages to come. #RanbirKapoor as Lord Rama looks absolutely amazing. Authentic, emotional and grounded screen presence.
But the man who delivers a performance that builds the entire world for you right from the start - with his intensity, the anger, the acting, the layers in the act, #Yash as Ravana is magnanimous. No one could have played Ravana better than Yash. He set the tone for the experience.
#SaiPallavi as Maa Sita is brilliant. Simplistic, emotional, and a beautiful appearance. She portrays Maa Sita really well and boasts off superb screen presence.
#RaviDubey as Lakshman is a show stealer. His dialogues are superb. #RakulPreet as #Surpanakha is super strong. The performance is amazing and the screen presence is felt. #ArunGovil as Raja Dashrath is pin point accurate.
The first 30 mins set the base and tone for this once-in-a-lifetime experience. The visuals are grand and peak. Never seen before in Indian cinema definitely. DNEG set the bar, DNEG rebuilt the bar. DNEG threw off the bar. Expectations were upto the roof, they smashed the entire roof. #Ramayana couldn't have been delivered and present in such a way. This is once-in-a-lifetime affair.
Really liked the way makers opted to give proper screen time for the backstory of #Yash as Ravana. It indeed helped the audience grip with the world. Ensuring and exploring every single element of the story.
I was nervous, excited and awkward when I was on my way to watch this. But it smashed the entire thing. Dharti Hilaa Di Haii 🔥🔥🔥 Jai Shree Ram 🏹🏹🏹
Full marks to #NiteshTiwari and #NamitMalhotra and a big thank you to them to delivering this story to the biggest screens with utmost care, conviction and responsibility. Haters kept their mouths opened throughout the campaign, but they did their work in silence and now haters have to find the way to underground.
It is a grandeur guys. A visual EXTRAVAGANZA. A visual treat. It felt like I was watching all these in my dreams. Just like the way we would have imagined how Ramayana would have happened. This is just that way. Peak Cinematic Experience for a reason.
The emotions hit right which was the core. The background scores and dialogues elevate those sequences brilliantly. The action sequences are PEAKKKKKK!!! and they showcase how much hard work has went behind the creation of them.
The Jatayu v/s Ravana sequence. Damnn. I am SPEECHLESS. The visuals are fantastic and never seen before in Indian Cinema.
The Part 1 has set the bar so high that I am already excited for #Ramayana Part 2, especially tp see how #SunnyDeol will hit the chord. This is PEAK guyss, watch it on the biggest screens possible. IMAX 3D experience was CRAZY.
#ARRahman and #HanzZimmer delivered brilliantly.
Have so much more to write. Will pen more thoughts soon. Just a bit slow and flaws at 1-2 times, nothing else.

Ramayana - part 1
Legendary cinema
When Ramayana teaser came
I had zero expectations
When trailers came
I wasn’t too impressed
But when I saw Yash Shiva Tandav song trailer I thought vow this is gonna be good
I went with huge expectations and still I was blown away by the movie
You go with any expectations it will still surprise you
It will still vow you
It will still make you cry
It will still give you goosebumps
It will still make you feel
Yea this is cinema at it best
Indian epics deserve to be told in a world class film like how Hollywood showed Odyssey this year or Gladiator or Lord of the rings
And it came in form of Ramayana
Man, each frame is straight from heaven
The actors look like real Gods
The world building looks like real places depicted in epics at all their grandeur
The music sounded like Oscar worthy
The VFX felt like wow you are in a different world
The emotions make you cry
The entire episode of Rama going to vanvas was like a poetry on screen
It makes you feel inside ur heart why Rama became God
It makes you think - this family of brothers mothers wives is the Best family that ever lived in human history cos they are Gods born to teach us how to live like humans
Yash - I think god created him to bring Ravan alive on screen
Infact I will watch Ramayana 10 times just for that first 40 min of Ravana back story
Yash makes it too difficult not to fall for Ravana
No actor has ever done it for a villain in last 50 years after Amjad Khan in Sholay
And whosoever took that decision to give him Sharad Kelkar voice over deserves a hug
Ranbir as Rama
I donno, but this is best Rama I have seen after NT RAMA RAO (from a Telugu person I don’t think I can praise any more)
The scene where Surpanaka (rakul is the best actress in the movie) falls for him makes you feel like real God is on screen
This is best Rama ever in Hindi cinema
Nitish Tiwari - Hats off to you
I never thought anyone can match SS Rajamouli in bringing a world alive on screen and you did it and you did with a story we all know and hence there is no surprise here like in Bahubali
Still the movie hooks you on every scene and I watched in Texas where there is no interval break - 3 hour 15 min and I was like can I please please watch part 2 right now
I don’t want to go home
Namit Malhotra - you deserve every praise and all the respect for bringing the best anyone can give to an Indian epics
This is K ASIF moment for Indian cinema
Indian cinema has truly arrived in the world and we can proudly say we can also make movies like LoTR or Dune now
I have to appreciate AR Rehman and Hans Zimmer for making world class music worthy of such movie
I will it 4.9/5 cos I didn’t like Sai Pallavi
If there was anyone who could match Ranbir and look like Goddess
It would be 10 out of 5 stars 🌟
And last thing - JATAYU is my fav character in the entire movie
The last scene between Ravan and Jatayu will go in Indian movie history as one of the greatest action sequences
The sheer imagination quality and how well they have shown JATAYU makes you just cry and yearn for him
And Ravana Soorpanakha and Jatayu decisions which is very different from anything we have seen in Ramayana are what makes this movie so special and interesting
PS - Watch it only on IMAX 3D you will feel like you are seeing real God and Asuras on screen

Ramayana Movie Review: 🌟🌟🌟🌟
What a breathtaking visual spectacle! 🙏Never in my wildest dreams did I imagine Indian cinema pulling off something on this scale, with jaw dropping visuals and exhilarating action sequences!
Watched Format: IMAX 3D ( on real IMAX screen , not digital IMAX)
Ramayana has always been a part of our growing-up years. We’ve heard the story in so many different ways from our grandmother telling us their
Excerpts from the Ramayana saga, the iconic television serial, and more recently, infamous Om Raut’s Adipurush.
So when Namit Malhotra announced Ramayana, our initial thought was, okay, this guy owns DNEG Studios, so perhaps he’s just attempting another lavish, big-budget adaptation.
But surprisingly, the adaptation is very good!
For the cinephile in you watching big Hollywood movies and always wondered, “Why can’t one of our Indian mythological epics be mounted on this scale and stand in the same league?” - this is your dream come true visually.
Sticking to a faithful adaptation while delivering world-class visuals, Namit Malhotra and Nitesh Tiwari have delivered a good output. Only complaint is slow paced. Ofcourse divine story cannot be told as fictional or fantasy pace - understandable.
The 3D effects are super cool, the animation is outstanding, and the overall production quality is honestly good
A.R. Rahman and Hans Zimmer‘s BGM is needless to say world class.
Yash as Ravana steals the show! Without him, especially those menacing eyes, the character of Ravana wouldn’t have shaped up this well. Personally, I initially thought Yash might be an odd pick for Ravana. But man, he absolutely killed it! He is outstanding.
And Ranbir Kapoor is too good as Rama! He carries Lord Rama’s pain and innocence exceptionally well. Sai Pallavi as Sita is good, though her performance is relatively understated.Rakul preet singh as shoorphanakha good
Some of the outstanding sequences include Ravana’s grand entry, the climax Jatayu fight, and the demon fight during Surpanakha’s attempt to lure Rama. There are many other episodes that subtly build up to a world-class cinematic scale.
Of course, there are a few slow portions, especially the lengthy episode where Rama is asked to go into Vanavasam. That sequence takes a while and slows down the proceedings. In second half panchavati scenes are apparently slow. However, the director makes sure that almost every 20 minutes, we are treated to some grand visuals.
The creatures created, the wonderland brought to life, and the sheer scale of the world-building are simply outstanding.
This is India’s answer to world-class cinema! There are lot of elements appeal to Gen Z audience too in terms of quality making. Just prepare for slow pacing rest all marvellous. Highly recommended for entire family in biggest possible format.
Take your kids and proudly show our mythology, our tradition. This is THE CINEMA

I owe #Ramayana an apology
I judged it WAY too harshly from the trailer. Thought the ambition was bigger than the execution.
I WAS WRONG.
Visually breathtaking. Beautifully told. And that Jatayu vs Ravan sequence? Some of the finest VFX Indian cinema has ever produced. 🔥
#Ramayana was an absolutely exhilarating experience for me personally!
The storytelling is paced remarkably well, considering the scale, length and depth of the epic. It never feels stretched or turns into a soap opera. An ancient epic like this demands a certain approach to screenplay and narration, and I felt the film gets that largely right.
Performance-wise, #Yash stands out the most as Ravana. His commanding screen presence, coupled with the portrayal of Ravana’s ten heads as distinct shades or facets of his personality, was an absolute treat to watch.
#RanbirKapoor as Rama was good, bringing a sense of calm, composure and restraint that the character of Sri Rama demands. If I were to nitpick, I would have liked a little more expressive range in a few sequences. #SaiPallavi as Sita brings grace, poise and elegance to the character.
The VFX by #DNEG turned out much better than I had anticipated. We had seen glimpses in the trailers, but experiencing it on the big screen is a different ballgame altogether. You gradually look past the little imperfections and find yourself completely immersed in the scale and spectacle of the epic action sequences.
The 3D was also surprisingly well executed, with excellent depth perception and some genuinely impressive out-of-the-screen moments (the arrows, the giant foot, etc.).
Some of the visual highlights for me were the cosmic sequences featuring Brahma, Vishnu and others, the Shurpanakha army battle, and, particularly, the Jatayu fight sequence.
A word of caution: there are a few sequences with considerable darkness, which I feel demand a really good projection setup. A high-quality laser projection system, LED screen or Dolby Cinema/HDR presentation would do justice to these scenes.
The music by #ARRahman and #HansZimmer never felt out of place to me. It blended beautifully with the narrative and the emotions unfolding on screen.
I watched the film in Scope-on-Scope at PXL, and the presentation felt a little constrained in certain portions. Looking forward to experiencing the Scope presentation at #DolbyCinema and the Flat presentation at #IMAX tomorrow!
And yes, there’s a mid-credit scene that delivers some serious goosebumps!
I genuinely felt emotional towards the end. Perhaps it’s because these stories are so deeply embedded in our cultural upbringing as Indians. There’s an inherent emotional connection that makes certain moments resonate on a much deeper level.
An epic that deserves to be experienced on the biggest and best screens possible!

#Ramayana Rating: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
#NiteshTiwari proves his mastery with this giant of a film that scores high on almost every department- Be it the music by #HansZimmer and #ARRahman or the unparalleled visual effects by #DNEG.
As for the performances, #RanbirKapoor is spectacular as #LordRam bringing a beautiful combination of grace, restraint and authority. His fight sequence with the tree demons is a sight to behold!
#SaiPallavi is equally impressive as Sita. This is easily one of her finest performances as an actor.
#Yash makes a commanding impression as #Ravana, with the right intensity and screen presence required for the character. The way his confrontation with #Jatayu has been shot is unforgettable!
#VivekOberoi and #RakulPreetSingh add further strength to the ensemble, making their respective characters engaging and memorable.
What works particularly well in the film is the attention given to the emotional significance of individual episodes.
A project of this magnitude comes with enormous expectations, and Ramayana rises to the challenge.
Credit goes to producer #NamitMalhotra for bringing India’s greatest tale on the big screens and turning it into a global spectacle. This one cannot be missed!
