I spoke to Pierre Sage for a good 15+ minutes last Thursday afternoon in Istanbul
1-2-1 at the Ritz Carlton Hotel.
He came across as such a great guy who has passion and ambition for the club I love he has the same goals and agenda I have that is to leave it in a better when we leave.
I arrived and have supported Palace through thick and thin since 1980 obviously longer than Pierre as he was 6 months old.
The people who are running our club are destroying us.
If they put into the club the same amount as us loyal fans instead of only wanting to take out all would be good but they are Buisness people who are only interested in making money.
Theyโve employed people who are only interested in maximising profits, finding new ways of earning more money and couldnโt care less in the destruction of our values of our club.
Weโve had our club hijacked piece by piece.
They are not interested in our views or our identity.
They are so arrogant they think they know best and drive their vision of our club through no matter what.
Iโm sick of token gesture groups set up who think they know whatโs best for us itโs all a con theyโre being manipulated and just yes people.
Our loyalty is being betrayed. Crystal Palace is built on our fan base. The real fanbase not tourists or the rich day trippers that want to experience our uniqueness built on Our Blood , Sweet and tears Iโm afraid thatโs not for sale.
You can sell your corporate packages but you canโt sell us the heart beat the grit the passion of the club.
Iโve never considered not attending Palace my whole lifetime it would be inconceivable but the whole package that is being served to us at the moment is unacceptable, unpalatable and a disgusting disgrace.
Anyone decent in the staff has also left or wants to leave.
Theyโre are also a lot of good decent staunch people left in our club certain players, plenty of coaching staff etc.
In 896 home games Iโve been to Selhurst Park yesterday was a top 5 bad experience ,
A Rock Bottom if things donโt change rapidly itโs end of . I ainโt talking about Sage either itโs the hierarchy and the people in senior positions either get in the trenches with us or go away or weโll go away.
I hope itโs not too late but maybe it is they havenโt got their fingers on the pulse like we have because they are not the heartbeat of our club
Never in 46 years have I ever experienced such a disconnect between us fans and the club itโs beyond comprehension.
Youโll need a smaller ground not a larger ground with all this Americanisation of our club
We want our club back. โฐ๏ธ โค๏ธ๐๐ฆ
Back from the game:
We were pony first half. ๐ฉ
Battled second half.
Ref was appalling.๐คฌ
Deserved a draw.
Lyonโs support was top draw but ground too big for them!
Stewards and police dreadful, authoritarian with no common sense ๐ก

If HMRC get involved we might be able to keep the pension triple lock...
The Premier League has confirmed that Manchester City have been found guilty of all charges related to breaches of Premier League financial rules between 2009-10 and 2017-18.
An independent Commission found that during that time period, the club arranged "sham contracts" with a number of its commercial partners, as well as "relying on sham agreements to artificially inflate the club's revenues and reduce its costs".
The statement also said that City were guilty of the majority of charges in relation to its failure to co-operate, but an exact figure was not given.
I liked that performance! So much better defensively. Shame we didnโt make more of the chances โค๏ธ๐๐ฆ
Thatโs an absolute disgrace and should be called out by fans of every club in England.
Theyโre desperate for season ticket holders to be a thing of the past and without everyone on the same page, theyโll keep on chipping away.
Iโm such an oldie.
When I first watched Palace, we played the same players week in week out, one sub, a lot from trainees. I only needed to know names of about 15. They stuck around for a few years too!
My brain canโt be doing with all these boys coming & goings! ๐ง ๐ตโ๐ซ
What with the sash and manager going to a rival, Iโm having childhood trauma flashbacks of team of the 80s decimation ๐ซฃ๐ฉโค๏ธ๐

These points are frighteningly accurate. Clubs are deliberately looking at long standing supporters, taking away long fought for rights and making basic things like season tickets a weapon to remove rather than a part of "ownership" and support of the club.
A study was done over a decade ago and they are right, stadiums are full of people my age, with previous few avenues for youngsters, the vibrant future of any club, to congregate together as a large, noisy, feisty and sometimes intimidating group.
I'm surprised Palace owners have let it get this far because with greatest respect to a club I started at, 90's Palace was old, Surrey based and "nice". HF undoubtedly have made Selhurst a prickly place to play so their attendance is proof that embracing positive supporter change works. And works well.
Going to be honest, not a fan of the mimickery by English supporters of European Ultras groups per se, we have a 150 year old raw, passionate culture and we do things differently, so that's my tuppence on the "look" of groups like HF rather than the extremely valid points they make, which I support 100%.
We've just come off the $1000 a ticket World Cup, we know tourists from afar's spend is more valuable to clubs that a season ticket holder who doesn't need to spend ยฃ600 in the shop, and we know that through a cost of living crisis, youngsters are finding cheaper teams to support ( a very welcome unintended consequence of Prem pricing) or move away from football entirely.
If I were shouting still on radio this is exactly the debate we'd be having tonight, rattling cages of those in power, inviting guests into squirm a little as they try to defend pricing, strategy and bringing more youngsters into stadia. Alas, the Premier League, like FIFA and UEFA want only happy clappy official broadcasters to " tell them how great we are ", so you won't find HF statement being answered by anyone relevant in football, they just ignore and ride it out. It's why we are where we are now.
I hope HF reconsider, and I hope good people like @CEO4TAG can find a solution, we need more, not less HF.
Football without hardcore fans, is nothing.
Football without tourists, is fine.
Look after those who've looked after uou for 150 years. Today, tomorrow and in the future. It's why English football IS so special.
Shocked and saddened. Agree with what they have written though. I thank them for the organisation, colour and displays theyโve brought to Selhurst and beyond over 20 years โน๏ธ
In honour of sash restoration day, and 50 years of me watching the red and blue at Selhurst, I thought Iโd post my old school money box. Might even open it and count the dosh!!๐ฐ โค๏ธ๐๐ฆ
