ALWAYS NEXT TO DUNK : did cooking start cause you were frequently filming and posting content, or have you always loved cooking? 🌻: actually it all started with my family. my family has always been involved in cooking and the f&b business. my mom also used to own a restaurant. so i guess i've gradually absorbed all of that since i was a child. but one thing i’d never done before was film myself cooking and post it for people to see. at the time i thought that since i was in the entertainment industry i had to focus on singing this dancing this singing that dancing that and acting. you know what i mean? then my mom suggested “why don’t you try filming something and posting it so people can see?” but i immediately turned her down. i said “why should i film it? it’s not going to help me in the entertainment industry or anything” she told me to just trust her and give it a try. then after i posted the video people started showing that they liked it. that gave Dunk more passion and motivation. so from someone who had never filmed cooking videos before i gradually started making more and more videos for everyone to watch. at the very least i’d like to film about once a week and put out content for everyone to enjoy. : i imagine the scale of your food will keep getting bigger and bigger. where do you think it will eventually lead? 🌻: how far can it go? let me tell you there’s no limit to this : normally it might take place in the kitchen but perhaps the space could expand even further in the future? 🌻: that’s right. maybe we could try cooking outdoors sometimes too. i’m actually making plans and looking into that 🌻: Dunk’s family has always been fond of donating things and doing charity work. i mean donating food and other things to orphaned children, people in need people living on the streets or anyone who might need help. we like preparing food in large portions and then taking it out to distribute to people. : so after filming the food is passed on and given to people right? 🌻: absolutely. it definitely gets distributed. some people might think, “hey Dunk is creating food waste or something…” but that’s not true at all cause we always give the food away. we’ve been doing this for a long time. : have you ever had a chance to clarify or explain this to people who don’t understand or do you just…? 🌻: i’ve even filmed videos to show everyone. like “here, this is us going out and distributing food” my mom also regularly posts about us donating to various foundations and charitable organizations : every time you film content besides getting a video out of it you also get to share the food with others. how does that make you feel? 🌻: sharing it! it makes me really really happy. cause for so many people simply receiving a meal or something that we’ve given them is already enough to make them very happy. some people work all day without even getting a chance to eat anything. so i’m happy that i can be part of the smile on their faces that day
