What a special visit our Tigers got today! Historian Anthony Cohen will embark on a 750 mile walk from MD to Canada on 5/4 to celebrate the 250th anniversary of America with this statue of Harriet Tubman. He visited @HarrietTubmanES with the statue for our students to see!

Car seat safety is of the utmost importance to ensure our Tigers get to school safely. Thanks to @MontgomeryCou11 families were shown how to properly install and harness car seats. Safety first always! @HarrietTubmanES @CSconnect_MCPS

Our first of 3 workshops in a “Build Your Legacy” financial workshop series with @GburgMD Financial Empowerment Center. Families are learning how to build different types of wealth to secure brighter futures for their children. @HarrietTubmanES @CSconnect_MCPS

4th grade students in our Kids for Kids Fund group chose the organization we will donate $1,000 to. The winner was The Center for Adoption Support & Education! Students were so thoughtful with their nominations and during the selection process. @HarrietTubmanES @thegivingsquare

4th graders in our Kids for Kids group practiced perspective taking and what it might be like for children with disabilities. They practiced using their non-verbal skills in simulations to experience communication challenges. These student leaders are learning ways to help!

Our @HarrietTubmanES @mspscholars engaging in workshops about ICE, exclusionary practices, and the bystander effect at the 15th annual MSP Retreat. A superb event to bring all the chapters from across the county together.

An absolute honor to attend the 3rd Annual Youth Anti-Racist Film Festival and view the moving and powerful films created by @mspscholars students, which our chapter @HarrietTubmanES was a finalist for! So incredibly proud of our young filmmakers! @EricaFields_ @CSconnect_MCPS
