We have a new Turing Data Story right out of the oven 🥳! If you interested to learn more about @TfL Santander Cycles and how they are used around London check it out 👇

This story was born at a @turinghut23 hack week in in 2022 inspired by the great #open dataset from @TfL on bike journeys.
Great team work by @f_nanni @CamilaRangelS, James Bishop and Markus Hauru. And thanks to the great reviewers @flypigahoy and Ryan Chan.
We’ve been quiet here but never stopped working on new stories!
🎶 What’s the most likely outcome for this weekend’s #EurovisionSongContest?
📊 The Turing's research engineers (@turinghut23) took a look at the data as part of their @TuringDStories project to find out: bit.ly/3pzE7Nk

So cool to see people using the open code from our stories to run their own analysis! 🤩 That is exactly the idea for Turing Data Stories.
My modelling of new omicron variant (repurposing some excellent open source techniques from @TuringDStories: alan-turing-institute.github…). Note decoupling of data and predicted admissions - suggesting vaccine and herd immunity could flatten admissions curve this Christmas.
Big news, we have published a new Turing Data Story 🥳! In it, Eric Daub investigates the link between infections and hospitalisations during the different waves of Covid-19 in the UK.

I’m vicariously proud: there are TWO (of 3) project contributors affiliated with @turinginst (broadly defined) who are nominated for the Young Person’s Award.
Sam van Stroud for @TuringDStories
Paul Owoicho for @turingway
Our very own Sam Van Stroud has won an OpenUK Young Person Award award for his contributions to this project. Very well deserved, we are so proud 🥳
Replying to @kirstie_j
AND SAM IS THE WINNER!!! Woaaaaaaaah!!
Congratulations to Sam - and - as he said in his acceptance speech - to all the @TuringDStories team!!
