Denny Hamlin is the only driver to finish ahead of every other Chase driver in over 50% of all races this season, from 54% against Ryan Blaney to 77% against William Byron. Kyle Larson leads the standings and finished ahead of Hamlin in only 40% of the races.

If Ryan Blaney qualifies badly at Martinsville, don't write him off.
Since 2022 he's gained 12.9 spots a race at Martinsville, the most of any driver entered with 6 or more starts. Last October he started 31st and finished 2nd.
Kyle Larson came down pit road with the lead under caution 19 times in 2026 and came out ahead of every car that pitted 15 times. Denny Hamlin did it all 9 times. Christopher Bell kept it 7 of 16 and Ryan Blaney 9 of 17.

Tristan McKee put the No. 77 on the pole for the Black’s Tire 200 at Martinsville Friday, the youngest pole winner in NASCAR national series history. The old mark was Cole Custer’s, at 16 years, 4 months.
His fifth Truck start, and his first at Martinsville. A 19.549 second lap beat Layne Riggs and Chandler Smith.
Then he led 29 laps and finished 5th.
