Fine-tuning Qwen says so much about semantics. Just playing around with extremes and asking Qwen its beliefs is such a fun activity; it’s like tweaking a small trait and seeing how it cascades into beliefs.
Made my own finetuned lightweight text embedding model for resume to job description matching. Take a look!

The AI model release cycle is getting exhausting.
GPT-6 Sol and GPT-6 Luna just dropped. Half the errors. 50% cheaper. Luna matches GPT-5.6 Sol at 1% of the cost.
Cool.
Great.
Except I feel like I just switched my entire workflow to something last week and now there's already something better.
I use these models every single day. And at this point I genuinely can't keep up. It's not a flex, it's a problem.
By the time you actually figure out which model is best for your specific use case, there's a new one and the calculus changes completely.
OpenAI, Anthropic, Google... they're all doing it.
The release cadence is so aggressive now that "best model available" has basically become a meaningless phrase. It expires in like two weeks.
At some point you just pick something and stop optimizing because the optimization never ends.
Please welcome GPT-6 Sol and GPT-6 Luna to the GPT-6 universe.
GPT-6 Sol and Luna build on the advances behind GPT-6 Astra, bringing much of its strengths into faster and more affordable models to support work at scale.
We’ve also made caching and inference more efficient, and we’re passing the savings directly to you: 50% lower API prices for Sol and Luna compared with GPT‑5.6 promotional pricing.

Went to the dentist and they told me I “needed a new crown”. Told them to give it to Bron and they walked me out of the office. #23
You can just fine-tune your own lightweight open-weight sentence-embedding model using the openai api... is this peak?
Love the new UI, Canvas. Sadly, this just means that when I get a 0 on my algorithms exam, I’ll see it in a newly centered div!
Oh god, how I miss London. The food, the liveliness, the people, and even the pub culture. I miss it all. I miss the city like I miss a person, matter of fact, a relationship. I know it’ll never be like the first time, but I still love it.
Here’s a photo of me with a Guinness.

Rebuilding all 3rd party apps with open source, privacy focused, and offline support with AI will be the future
The worst part of the otherwise excellent Logitech mice & keyboards has always been the software. Nice to see an open source, local-only desktop app alternative launch openlogi.org/
Always been interested in decompiling my radar detector's firmware. I knew someone had done it before, and they sold custom firmware for $45.
I never thought of using Claude to crack the firmware, but it did it in 1 prompt.
God bless Claude.

“ABC stock is on its best day since”
I think every day has been a “worst day” for me since my inception.
