Just a Harmless answer. If everyone were to pick up ahadith and Quran and come to jurisprudencial conclusions by themselves, then we wouldn't have a need for scholars, nor would Madhabs exist. So with regards to the Hadith, The Prophet ﷺ said: "A woman should not travel except with a mahram." (Sahih al-Bukhari 1862; Sahih Muslim 1341) This Hadith establishes the requirement for a Mahram for travels, which includes Hajj. However, the scholars of Fiqh dissect this even further. I won't go into the details. I'll just go to the conclusions. The Maliki and Shafi'i Madhabs establish that a woman can go to Hajj without a Mahram as long as her safety is guaranteed (maybe through a group of women). While the Hanafi and Hanbalis establish that a Mahram is a requirement because the Prophet(PBUH) gave an explicit command, hence, the assurance of her safety isn't enough. Of course, I side with our madhab, the Maliki Madhab on this matter as I see it as the most correct of opinions. However, all 4 madhahibs reach their conclusions using the traditional establishments which is Quran, Hadith, Ijma and Qiyas. So yes, the Hadith still exists and it is from the same deduction of these Hadith and other ones that Imam Malik and Imam Shafi'i reached conclusions of women being able to travel for Hajj without a Mahram, as long as her safety is guaranteed. So if Saudi chooses to review it's framework within what has already been established over a thousand years ago by the Imams of Jurisprudence, then there is no harm in that. So now that I've shared the knowledge, let me call out your bluff in Hausa. Wallahil Adheem, ilimi ba abin wasa bane.
Have you noticed an Dena tambayar muharram in zaka je Saudi yanzu? Hadisin no longer works ne koh me nene ya chanja pls? Just a harmless question o

I held a strategic meeting with key women leaders across Katsina Central as part of my ongoing engagement ahead of the 2027 elections. The meeting provided an opportunity to exchange ideas, commitments and assurances, also I reaffirmed my readiness to work hand in hand with women and ensure they have equal opportunities to participate, contribute and take active roles in every aspect of my agenda. I emphasise that women are not just supporters of the movement but important partners in building a better Katsina Central, deserving of a voice, recognition and meaningful representation.

The death of Masussuka has unfolded a lot of things, and as I said in one of my previous write ups, that many Muslims (including those that are intellectuals in some fields within the conventional knowledge) lack proper understanding of the Deen, and how evidence is established in Islam. A lot of people think that some of the Islamic scholars just woke up and began to write books, and that's why they question anything written in those books. I saw many people on this app questioning, or rejecting ahadeeth in Sahihul Bukhari and Muslim just because they were born hundreds of years after the departure of the prophet ﷺ 😂😂. This sounds funny to anyone who has knowledge on "Science of Hadith (مصللح الحديث)", but then it shows how big the need for proper Islamic knowledge is amongst our fellow Muslim brethren. I want to refer to a beautiful write up by sheikh @Taabreez which has done justice to how we should approach Islamic discourse and how hadith scholarship works. They are very long, but trust me, you will enjoy every bit of it. 1. nitter.gq/Taabreez/status/211607… 2. nitter.gq/Taabreez/status/211585… May Allah guide us to the straight path
Leaving aside your two personal attacks, accusing me of justifying extremism and dismissing my arguments as “dribbles,” neither of which you’ve substantiated, your opinions about me are of no consequence. So let’s examine your arguments. “Any system of thought can insist that it can only be evaluated through its own prism. By definition, this insulates the system from any external criticism.” Your argument assumes that evaluating a discipline according to its established standards necessarily insulates it from external criticism. It doesn’t. Mathematics requires logical validity, empirical science demands testable evidence, and historical scholarship has standards for evaluating sources. These standards govern how claims are assessed, including criticisms originating outside the discipline. In fact, you’re doing precisely that yourself. You expect me to understand your argument, represent it accurately, and justify my disagreement according to standards of reasoning and evidence you consider valid. Would that expectation make your argument immune to external criticism? Of course not. You’ve confused having standards for evaluating criticism with refusing to entertain criticism. The former is indispensable to intellectual inquiry. The latter is DOGMATISM. And even FOUNDATIONAL assumptions can be challenged. Let’s use an example from Mathematics (tunda ba a raina boko ba). Euclid’s fifth postulate concerned parallel lines. In the nineteenth century, Lobachevsky and Bolyai developed mathematically coherent geometries by replacing it. They didn’t merely declare Euclid’s assumptions subjective. They demonstrated the logical consequences of alternative premises. Einstein likewise exposed the limitations of Newtonian mechanics through a mathematically developed theory whose predictions could be tested against observation. I’m not suggesting that Islamic revelation occupies the same epistemological category as mathematics or empirical science. The comparison concerns how specialised disciplines handle criticism, including challenges to their foundations. My position is that Islamic scholarship, including Hadith authentication, can be criticised internally and externally. Its methods, assumptions, and individual conclusions can all be questioned. But if your claim is that a particular authentication method is unreliable, you must identify its deficiencies and demonstrate how they undermine its conclusions. Your alternative standards must also be open to examination. The right to criticise, the validity of criticism, and the obligation to accept its conclusions are three different things. Your argument fails to distinguish them. “They are questions of epistemology, and no tradition has a monopoly on how they are answered.” And who suggested otherwise? You’ve introduced a proposition nobody disputed and presented it as though it refutes my argument. I never claimed that Islamic scholarship has a monopoly on epistemology. I argued that evaluating a specialised methodology competently requires understanding its principles and evidence. More fundamentally, Hadith criticism is itself an exercise in epistemology. Its scholars were asking precisely the question you’re raising: How do we establish that a statement attributed to someone was actually made by that person? They developed criteria for evaluating testimony, identifying unreliable transmitters, comparing accounts, and detecting inconsistencies. You may disagree with their answers, but categorising the question as epistemological doesn’t establish that their answers are defective. Calling something a question of epistemology doesn’t answer the question. Nor does the absence of a monopoly make every competing approach equally reliable. If you believe the methodology is inadequate, explain which criteria fail, why they fail, and what alternative would establish historical authenticity more reliably. 1/n

Masussuka was never a scholar. He was just a plague that took many gullible minds away from Islam by introducing a new version of Islam to them. Every clip of his that I watched has a question mark.
Masussuka was more than a scholar; he was a voice for peace, intellectual freedom, critical thinking, education, social progress, self-reliance, and religious tolerance. He championed a society where knowledge, humanity, and peaceful coexistence prevailed over dogma.

I am genuinely shocked by how many people I once thought had reverence for Allah and His Messenger ﷺ display such profound ignorance of Islam. Imagine claiming to practise Islam while deliberately rejecting the explanations of the very Messenger ﷺ to whom the Qur’an was revealed! The Sahabah lived with the Prophet ﷺ. They witnessed his actions, heard his explanations of the Qur’an, learned how he practised the Deen, and transmitted his teachings to subsequent generations. Yet, 1,400 years later, some people arrogantly assume they can bypass the understanding of the Messenger ﷺ and his Companions and interpret the Qur’an according to their own whims. This is NOT a contest between the Qur’an and Hadith, as some dishonestly portray it. The real question is: Who has the authority to explain the Qur’an—the Messenger ﷺ to whom it was revealed, or individuals who came centuries later and may lack even a sound understanding of the Arabic language in which it was revealed? The Qur’an itself establishes the Messenger’s role in explaining its revelation (Qur’an 16:44). His Sunnah is not a rival to the Qur’an; it is an indispensable guide to understanding & practising it. True intellectualism is not about pretending to be independent of the Prophet’s guidance. It is about having the humility to study this Deen properly, understand the Qur’an in light of the authentic Sunnah, and appreciate the understanding of the Sahabah who learned directly from the Messenger of Allah ﷺ. My advice is simple: Go back and study Islam before attempting to redefine it. Ignorance masquerading as intellectualism is neither scholarship nor enlightenment. It is simply ignorance dressed up in arrogance.

The main reason many Darika scholars refuse to condemn the ideology behind Masussuka’s Qur’ani Zalla Movement is that they see it as a clash between him and Izala/Ahlus Sunnah scholars. Their hatred for Izala has clouded their judgment, preventing them from recognising and speaking out against it. They are fully aware of the danger this movement poses to the Muslim Ummah, yet they perceive condemning it as siding with Izala scholars rather than standing up to protect the Sunnah of the Prophet Muhammad (SAW), a Sunnah they themselves claim to believe in. Their hatred for Izala runs so deep that even when we share common ground on matters of religion, they would rather refuse to stand with us than join hands in defending the authentic teachings of Islam. When hatred for a group becomes stronger than one’s commitment to the truth, the greatest casualty is the religion itself.

According to the beliefs attributed to the Qur’ani Zalla movement, the Prophet ﷺ had no authority to explain or elaborate on anything in the religion of Islam. He was merely a messenger who received a book, delivered it, put it down, and left without saying anything further or explaining its contents—as though he had been sent as a mute messenger. Despite the Prophet ﷺ having companions, followers, and family members, this ideology effectively reduces his role to that of a mere courier who delivered a message but had no role in explaining its meaning. Instead, he (Massussuka) assumes the authority to interpret and explain the very message the Prophet ﷺ was sent to convey. Wallahi, anyone who reflects on this claim with sound reasoning and a sincere desire to understand Islam would recognise how deeply problematic and contradictory it is.

Yesterday, I had the honour of visiting the Shola Quarters community, where a large number of women convened a special gathering to express their support and solidarity for my aspiration ahead of the 2027 general elections. The engagement served as an avenue to strengthen my bond with the women of Shola Quarters and to emphasize the significance of unity and active community participation in driving development and building a prosperous future. It also provided an opportunity to foster better understanding and to deliberate on the essence of purposeful representation and continued partnership between leaders and the led. I sincerely appreciate the warm reception and unwavering support.
