It finally happened: today I was asked to review a (short) paper on a new and "disruptive" research exchange platform in which the author basically copy-pastes chatGPT's response to one of his earlier papers on the meaning of life (I kid you not)...
...The point is to show that chatGPT can help in being less subjective. Perhaps I'll ask chatGPT to review that paper - so to review its own production - and submit it as a way of improving objectivity in peer-reviewing, I don't know.
The special issue on 'Pragmatics and Argumentation' guest edited by yours truly is now available as a reprint. The full volume is freely downloadable as a pdf from the publisher's website and a print version will be available for purchase very soon. mdpi.com/books/book/7990

This just out! The paper provides an overview of the way pragmatic research (of the inferential blend) has been used in argumentation scholarship over the past half-century (open access). doi.org/10.1016/j.pragma.202…
I was briefly interviewed about fake news, post-truth and conspiracy theories this morning on Radio Fribourg 🙂 radiofr.ch/fribourg/podcasts…
