That's awesome! @SwitchBot emails you when your Switchbot Bot battery is running low. Thank you! 😀

The @transitapp app is so much more useful & quicker to track your train (including the platform, even when the National Rail app doesn't) than the awful new @nationalrailenq app. Plus Transit keeps live countdown (& the platform) on your lockscreen. 😀 transitapp.com/download

I'm trying to get used to this new @AppleMusic icon, but it just looks like I have a notification from a cheap third-party app. Sorry @Apple but please bring the previous icon, because at least that one made Apple Music look more unique.

After 36 years, The dysfunctional family from Springfield have been shown on Sky 1 for the final time. Farewell Bart, Lisa, Maggie, Marge, Homer, Ned, Montgomery, Smithers, Moe, and many more. Our clip is of the first Sky One trailer from 1990. tvark.org/simpsons-coming-so…

Patrick Stewart once found himself joking with Paul McCartney and Ringo Starr about being three knights at the same table. No grand speech, no performance. Just a moment of shared laughter. A long career leaves behind more than great roles. It leaves moments people remember.
This is just Emrata letting Conan accuse her of flirting, acting completely innocent, then gently roasting him for getting flustered. She was in control the entire time.

Patrick was one of those icons who we somehow all took for granted would always be with us. I grew up as a fan, and was later gifted the privilege of becoming a colleague and friend, working with him for many years on “American Dad!”, “Family Guy”, and “Ted”. He was that rare actor who could take any bit of dialogue and elevate it, making a good writer sound great, and a great writer sound masterful. He was also as humble as they come. I remember exchanging emails with him a number of years ago when he was beginning day 1 of a new film. He commented to me that he always walked onto a new set feeling like the biggest novice there. My stunned reaction was the same as anyone’s would be. I said, “Patrick, if you feel that way, the rest of us are screwed.” We have lost a legendary actor today, and for many of us, a good friend. He will be deeply missed by the entire planet.

The team behind ‘AMERICAN DAD’ have made a statement on the tragic passing of Sir Patrick Stewart. “We at American Dad! have so much gratitude and love for Patrick Stewart. He said how happy he was to do American Dad! because he was so rarely asked to do comedy, which is insane, as his ability to get the laugh was uncanny. Thank you, Sir, for sharing your joyful spirit, inspiring voice, and willingness to be ridiculous. You turned Avery Bullock, Deputy Director of the CIA, into someone the world loved and couldn't get enough of. We will miss you.”

In @Apple iOS 27, on all adult phones (not just kids accounts) they have rolled out active image and video scanning. This is on by default. Accidentally show too much cleavage during a FaceTime and it blurs out the image and cuts audio, then reports it back to Apple. Those “encrypted” and personal messages, calls, photos and videos you thought were private? ALL BEING PROCESSED BY BIG BROTHER. The instigator? Well you can thank eKaren and the Labor government who met personally with Apple and in association with other globalists like the EU, felt they had a right to intercept your personal data and communications without a warrant. Ai is being used to get around human laws by nefarious governments.

On-device ML can detect nudity in FaceTime and blur/pause with a warning. Apple doesn’t receive or access the media unless the user reports it. In Australia, adults who haven’t confirmed age 18+ have Communication Safety on by default. support.apple.com/en-us/105069 support.apple.com/en-us/126781

🚨BREAKING NEWS : Your "deleted" photos aren't deleted. Claude Code found years of them sitting in a hidden cache on my iPhone. I plugged my iPhone into my MacBook to run a backup. I had Claude Code doing a security check at the same time. It flagged something I wasn't looking for. A directory called PhotoData/Thumbnails. Thousands of files. Photos, videos, screenshots. A lot of them were things I had deleted. Photos from a couple of years ago. Screenshots I took and deleted a few seconds later. Stuff I went into Recently Deleted and cleared. Some of it was still sitting there. What I found in that cache: - old screenshots of banking apps - photos I deleted right after taking them - random pictures I didn't want on my phone anymore - a few things I specifically remember deleting more than once When you delete a photo on iPhone, iOS removes it from your camera roll and Recently Deleted folder. But it keeps a compressed copy in a Spotlight search cache so your phone can still find things when you search. That cache doesn't get fully cleared. I checked which apps had Files and Folders access. There were more than I expected, including apps I downloaded a long time ago and forgot about. Any of them could potentially read files from that cache. I went through the list and removed access from most of them. The prompt I used is below. It doesn't take long if you already have a backup. How many apps on your phone have Files access right now?

The post exaggerates privacy risks. Thumbnail caches can persist in unencrypted iOS backups for performance, but third-party apps cannot access system paths like PhotoData/Thumbnails due to sandboxing. Recovering data requires physical device access plus specialized tools. athenaforensics.co.uk/iphone-photoda… support.apple.com/guide/iphone/i… 9to5mac.com/2024/05/23/app…
